Fit-a-Rita is a sugar-free, instant margarita mix with added minerals, vitamins and herbal extracts designed to buffer the toxic effects of alcohol. The average margarita has over 200 calories, while a Fit-a-Rita margarita has just six calories (without tequila of course - it markets better that way). No sugar. No carbs. And it contains as much anti-oxidants as two glasses of red wine. Interested? Visit Fit-A-Rita.com to order it for yourself.
In theory, I like the idea. However, when it comes down to it if I am going to splurge on a margarita, I am going to splurge on a real margarita. Though I will say I have not tried it, and it could be wonderful, though I am skeptical. What do you guys think? Does the Fit-a-Rita fit your idea of a good time?

I go S/F whenever possible, so I'd definitely be willing to give it a try. And antioxidants are always a plus.
1Depends on how it tastes.
And it has one of those MIRACLE SUPPLEMENT SOLVES ALL YOUR PROBLEMS!!(butwe'rereallynotsuretheseingredientswon'tkillyou) vibe...
2oh i wanna try it! i loove margaritas but always feel guilty drinking them when i know they're so bad for you
3Well, it sure sounds good in the ad, but the true test would be how it tastes.
4I agree with FitSugar, If I were gonna spilurge on a Margarita it would be the real thing!!!
5hate margarita's anyways, so this idea is really stupid. what else will they come up with? healty beer?!
6If you're going to have a margarita (mmm....), you might as well get some vitamins in there. Assuming it tastes like a real one, that is.
7I really want to try this Fit-a-rita.. sounds awesome! Margaritas are so yumm in summer. It would be ideal to cut the calories out and add all the good for you stuff.. kinda like taking a multi-vitamin at happy hour. Ha.
8
clarient you are so right!!!
9someone try it and tell me how it is haha.
10Hmmmm, I'm kind of interested in trying this! I love rita's but they are always so sugary and filling!
11It looks like an Emergen-C packet! too funny.
12Uhh, they spelled antioxidants wrong on the label. That's enough to make me not take the product seriously.
13I'm immediately turned off by bad spelling.
If it does all that it says and tastes good, I don't see the harm. Less calories and sugar aren't a bad thing. Although what do you mean by "buffer the toxic effects of alcohol"?
And I was wondering, if everything you drink has antioxidants and vitamins (from your tea to your soda) can you eventually have too much?
14ditto on what njg and pixelhaze said - I couldn't trust a product from a company that can't spell everything right on the label...
15this stuff is probably overpriced garbage.
16Plus, the sodium content is pretty high for my liking. Over 200 mg of sodium per drink? no thanks...
Good Sunday Morning all-
17Just thought I would introduce myself and answer any questions you might have about Fit-a-Rita. I'm the guy who came up with the formula. The idea was that of my friend and business partner Joe Vitale. I put a lot of thought into this product and it took us almost a year to perfect the taste. Yes it does taste exactly like a margarita should taste. No sugar, all natural ingredients. No artificial dyes or sweetners. I included a few things nobody has ever used in a drink like this before like Milk Thistle extract to help protect the liver, glutamine to help the nerves and brain, grape seed extract to provide the "French Paradox" effect from the antioxidants. (See I know how to spell...the advert used an old art file that wasn't proofed properly. My mistake.) It also has electrolytes to help with the dehydration that occurs with consumption of alcohol.
Does it taste good? Try it and see. I'll send you a free sample if you want. Our email is fitarita2007@gmail.com
