The main thing I do in the gym is lift weights - so I take off my rings before I go and I wear lifting gloves while I'm there. If I'm just doing cardio then I do wear them. Lots of weird guys
at my gym, plus my ex goes there and while he knows I'm married I still like to wear my ring when I can (he's kind of crazy).
Interesting question - I take off my grandmother's diamond ring that I wear most days, and if I have "extra" rings I take them off, but I have three stacker rings that I wear
every.single.minute. and I don't take those off for anything. They also aren't very delicate though, so if they get knocked around it doesn't matter at all.
I used to take em all off until my husband gave me a mild guilt trip about how he never takes off his wedding band so I take off all jewelry except my wedding ring.
I just got engaged in June, and I didn't wear the ring to do any cardio or weight lifting, but I did wear it to pilates. Last week I must have hit it on something during class (either the
theraband or a weight), because one of the pave diamonds is now chipped! Bummer. Needless to say, I won't be wearing the ring to work out anymore.
Zulkey - it's definitely a diamond. My fiance got the ring from a family friend who we trust. Since the pave diamonds are really small, it's hard to tell exactly what's wrong with it. It may
have fallen out altogether, or it could just be dirty. Either way, our jeweler has offered to replace it and accepts full responsibility
I try not to take my wedding rings off if I can help it. Sometimes in yoga though, I have to take it them off to do an asana so i take it off and set it just off the mat and then quickly put
them back on when I've finished.
If you lift weights or use any equipment like that, you can also damage the underside of your rings. Best not to wear them - plus, I don't like getting my jewelry sweaty!
I don't wear any kind of jewelry when I work out. My work out is all in the morning - as soon as I get home and take a shower, I will put my wedding ring/earring back.
I only really wear my wedding/engagement rings and I don't take them off except when I shower and or when I'm getting my hands gunky because I don't want to get the stones dirty.
I only keep my engagement ring on. But yes the underside of the ring isn't so round any more because of wearing it while lifting weights. Not so happy about that, but I rarely if ever take
off my ring.
I usually wear an eternity band, and it's still just a bit scary for me even though it's not a big, honking rock. I have a plain backup wedding band (no stones), specifically for running or
the gym.
It's more for comfort than anything-- there's the occasional creepy guy but my gym is mostly college age hitting on college age. I'm irrelevant.
Now that its getting warmer, my ring fits a bit more snug, so I'm not constantly worrying about losing it. I never got it adjusted because of this. I'm really glad that I didn't get it
adjusted!!

Yes - except when I am swimming.
1no, they bug me, and if i'm doing yoga or rowing, it'll hurt my fingers/blister
2Nope. I take all jewelry off when i workout. They're very annoying when I lift weights and don't want to risk losing them at the gym.
3Can't deal with them!

5You should never wear rings, or any jewelry. If you jammed your finger or suffered any injury, what do you think that ring is going to do?

8Just my wedding band.
9i take them off. my fingers swell when exercise b/c i get so hot, so it gets uncomfortable to have rings on.
10If it's a fashion accessory I take it off but not the one I wear every day.

12I don't want to upset you Lo Lo but I don't know if it was a diamond if it got chipped...
13If I'm working hard, I will get super sweaty, and I can't deal with rings on sweaty fingers!

15yeah sorry about that--I did my research and saw it is possible to chip a diamond. don't listen to me.
16Generally, I take them off, especially if I'm doing weights.

18I wear rings unless I'm dancing because then they tend to slide off when I open my arms swiftly.
19no, no, my fingers swell so badly when i work out!
20No, no jewelry at all when I'm working out.

23i'm not married, so i take my rings and jewelries off, but i understand why people have it on
24My fingers swell in the heat ... so I take them off - even my wedding band and ering.

27only earrings .....

29If I had an engagement/wedding ring...I would totally wear it
30I only wear three rings, one my boyfriend gave me and a dummy set. I work out with them on, specially when I'm the only woman in the weights room!
31I to have a finger swelling issue when I work out. I leave my ring at home and put it on after my shower!
32Ha, I meant TOO, but said to.. you get the point!
33The only time I take my ring off is for boxing class! Any other workout I keep it on
34One of the reasons I started using fitness gloves (Nike = love!) was so that I didn't have to remove my rings...
35My fingers swell when I work out, so I always take my wedding ring off before.

It's just harder to grab the equipment with them.
