Wish your water did more than just hydrate you? Look no more.
Contrex is the latest and greatest in water in the U.S. It is a natural mineral water that has zero calories and one eight ounce serving of Contrex delivers 11.5% of the Reference Daily Intake (RDI) for Calcium and 5% of the RDI for magnesium. The French have been drinking Contrex for years -- Perhaps criticizing a healthy activity was just a cover to hide how healthy they really are.
Contrex contains a natural blend of minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate, and potassium, to name just a few -- All of these minerals are what gives Contrex a kind of unique taste. According to the website, the minerals found in Contrex are derived from the earth and there are no added ingredients.

ewww ewww ewww! this thing has been around in france forever. it's the grossest thing. seriously- i remember when we had to go on field trips in school and you could tell straight away whose mom was on a diet when the kids showed up with contrex water instead of evian/volvic/vittel. there was even a song someone made up "quand je bois contrex.." i'll spare you the obscenities in the second verse. let's just say it does things to your body that aren't all that wonderful. lol
i don't even know how to describe it. imagine evian but with all the freshness sucked out of it. sometimes it even smells kinda stale and weird. sorry to be less than enthusiastic about it but one of the main reasons i was so happy with the grocery stores when i first got here was that they didn't have any nonsense like "diet water". god. it's like "you can run but you can't hide".
1i actually really like contrex, mostly because i don't eat dairy so i don't get a whole lot of calcium. i think it tastes good and refreshing.
2I think this product is very good, have you tried 1liter.com very nice too.
3If we could get Vittel here I would be a lot happier. Until then I'm staying with my Volvic.
4We've got Contrex in Germany for a long time, and I don't think that it tastes that great. I like Evian the most!
5Fit, no offense, but "it is a natural mineral water that has zero calories" ticks me off. OFOURSE it has zero calories! It's WATER! That's just a slogan so that women would think "oh my? Does this mean that there are calories in other brands of water?? Then I should definitely start drinking Contrex!"
"Contrex contains a natural blend of minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate, and potassium, to name just a few". Bottled water is indeed derived from the earth, so it ALWAYS contains minerals, whether you put a brand on it or not.
That being said, I never buy 'brand' water. I buy the cheapest water I can find (in Aldi, for those who know
), which happens to taste great. Although I must admit that Evian is the best tasting water ever.
6I picked up a bottle for the hell of it when I was grocery shopping the other day - it's got kind of a funny taste and it's hella expensive.
It was interesting for one try but I think I'll stick with my Brita filtered tap water.
7Here in Europe Contrex is very common ... but it has a HORRIBLE taste, i'm unable to drink this stuff ...
& I drink only bubbly water anyway (and ONLY water)
