We all succumb to fast food every once and a while. Some of us with more frequency than others.
So tell me if you think the following statement is true or false.

Sadly, I think many people face a time crunch either through jobs, classes or families. Fast food is everywhere and cheap. Also if you grew up on fast food then it's likely that you are familiar with healthy eating and/or cooking.
Drat. Meant to say that if you grew up on a predominantly fast food diet than you may NOT be familiar with healthy eating/cooking.
I guessed correctly, just based on what I saw in college and the fact that people in their early 20s are just starting to live on their own, balancing work and college and probaby don't make the time to cook. But for me, it's the oppositie. I actually eat 100% LESS fast food than in my teens, when it was a regular thing for me.
This does not surprise me at all. The 20's are such a hectic time of life, and it's the time when money is short. Sadly, a lot of 20-somethings also aren't thinking too much about the long-term effects of their nutritional choices. Add all that together, and it makes sense why 20-somethings eat a lot of fast food.
Damn. I'm totally the opposite as a twenty-four year old.
I ate a ton more fast-food in college than in my teens. My mom really promoted a healthy lifestyle that included homemade dinners 7 nights a week. Unfortunately, her love of the kitchen didn't rub off on me, and I ended up living off of McDonald's value menu once I was on my own. Thankfully, in my mid-20s I have finally gotten my act together and beaten the fast food lifestyle.
I know I eat fast food a lot more now (I'm 21) than I did when I was in high school. It's a busy time with college classes to keep up with and money to worry about. I try to cook as often as I can, but sometimes I just don't have the time.
i never ate fastfood in high school. i had parents to cook for me but when i started to live on my own i just wanted quick cheap food and ended up 20 pounds heavier! thank goodness i got myself back to normal before it became a problem.
Not true with me. Once I got my own kitchen, I discovered a love of cooking I certainly didn't possess when food was simply being handed to me. Still, the claim does make sense.
no its opposite!
no its opposite!
For me, it's the opposite. In my teens I could eat anything I wanted, it never showed. So I was constantly snacking, and eating a LOT of fast food. But now, I realise that you should eat what your body NEEDS. Fast food is usually crappy food.
Sadly, I do eat it more often now. Not all of the time but def. on the weekends just because it is easy and fast. I RARELY ate it in high school so that is something I know I need to work on getting away from. It has just been a convenience when I don't want to put time or effort into making something.
I know that I eat more fast food just because it's simple. It's so easy to run to a drive-thru in between classes. I'm always so rushed in the morning, I rarely remember to make something.
