I recently read that when on a diet, ice cream tends to be the one food that most people refuse to give up. Me, I am not an ice cream girl, but I definitely could not live without chocolate. What about you?

ICECREAM!!!!!
I can't go more than a few days without eating at least a little bit of chocolate. Who would want to live without chocolate anyway?
I can't even go a day without eating chocolate- it's impossible to give up!
tacos.haha
I could live without any of these foods (many of them, I do live without!). But more importantly...why would anyone give up food for a diet? Moderation in all things.
um, chocolate chips cookies.
ah yes...choc chip cookies. that is the food i couldnt give up. or cookies in general
i gave up chocolate for lent one year. thats the longest ive ever gone without chocolate. but in those weeks, i learned that its not really chocolate i crave so much, it's just sugar. so i simply bought a ton of vanilla cookies and was fine.
I chose choc cause that is what I most frequently splurge on, but in reality its icecream - I just dont have it that often since I am likely to eat the whole carton!! Chocolate is just so easy to have a bitesize dark chocolate square every night.
chocolate....i eat 70-85% cocoa dark chocolate for health
pizza, crispy chicken sandwhiches, ice cream, and nachos!
Chinese food.....
buffalo wings.
chocolate..
unfortunately...
I have never been a huge fan of chocolate or ice cream.....but I love me some fries!
Dark chocolate and red wine!
I don't give up anything. Moderation is key. I LOVE ice cream but I won't eat it every day.
Ice cream and gelato are the hardest for me to give up; chocolate isn't too far behind!
i wanted to put french fries AND chocolate. good thing sushi isn't unhealthy, i could NEVER give that up!!
soda
I agree with darkoblivion - I don't really "diet" - I am just striving to live a healthy, balanced life. There's days when dessert is okay, and others when it's not. I personally love tasty coffee drinks - yum!
But since I know they're not the best for me, I drink them in moderation... and I always order with skim milk or a light version, such as Starbucks Light Frappuccinos... or if I'm feeling really healthy, I'll order without whipped cream. But... mmm.. I do love their whipped cream!
lol...
I don't diet, but I do eat healthy so chocolate is not in the cards for that. However, I do buy the large "gourmet" candy bars [in dark] and freeze them and eat about one or two squares [depending on the size] every two days. It keeps me in check and they are just perfect when you eat them with some kind of fruit. It feels like I am eating a meal fit for a queen!
It's mainly a change in lifestyle, for example my pizzas are healthier, I have alternatives to the other options...except chocolate! And if it's my birthday or some other grand scale celebration where there's chocolate (or red velvet) cake, I'm having a slice. Chocolate is sometime that I will never compromise on, but will moderate.
honestly = a little dark chocolate ain't going to do too much damage to my waist. mt psyche needs it more than i need to be thin.
Pizza! and certain times of the month M&M's.
I could never give up chocolate! Why would you, anyway?
I'm not sure I could give up Annies White Cheddar Mac and Cheese.
candy in general, i have a sweet tooth
I keep mini peppermint patties in the freezer at all times. It is great for a chocolate or sweet craving. I voted for chocolate - but sometimes when I'm dieting I still sneak a piece a pizza!
@okadanaher - Annie's is sooooo good!
I agree, I could never give up delicious, cheesy, calorie-laden Macaroni and Cheese.
I'm also a great believer in moderation. It's hard for me to give up anything I love because chances are I binge on them down the road.
Decadent cheese!!!
I couldn't give up anything completely. I always have a free day!
i could give it all up. i barely eat any of those items at all anymore.
You don't have to give up a single one of these to diet. Everything in moderation!
I agree with the last comment!
I'm in college, and pizza is a good all purpose food that still tastes good the day after.
nachos!
DONUTS, HAVENT HAD ONE IN YEARS!!
i could never go without eating french fries, the others are easy for me not to eat cause im lactose intolerant, so ice cream is out, i don't like chocolate, so that's out, the only soda i drink is dr. pepper which is hardly ever in the house...so yea...french fries would be the hardest thing to give up
I didn't give up anything. Life isn't worth living if you can't enjoy good food.
A better approach is to moderate your consumption of junk food.
PIZZA!!! i get it with thin crust LIGHT cheese and extra sauce with veggies. that way im getting at least a couple servings of vegetables while i indulge.
Mmmmm French Fries..... I am such a SUCKER for french fries....
I'm drooling now
Skittles. I am hopelessly addicted to them. Everything else I don't really care for. Can't have chocolate or ice cream since I'm lactose intolerant. Even the thought of ice cream makes me ill. Not a fan of donuts since they just sit in my stomach and I feel like a blimp after only one. McDonald french fries I would sort of miss, but I could do with out. I HATE pizza and soda isn't that great since I have gastritis and it makes it worse.
sweets..like gums and polos..i can live without most of the things on the list but once in a while i'll crave sugar!
chocolates. i'm spending a bundle on dark chocolates now, just so i wont bust my atkins diet.
i could eat pizza every freaking day!!
d_ford... you don't like pizza?! me either and i have never found another person (besides my grandfather) who doesn't like it either. Yay i am so happy!!
Instead of ice cream, eat frozen yogurt. Much better for you!
im not a believer of diets...eat healthy and in moderation i say..its no coincedence that diet begins with die.
