Sometimes health headlines sound more like science fiction than fact, and this little bit of news definitely fits that categorization.
Scientists have figured out a way to move fat, mined via liposuction from undesirable body locations like the belly, booty or thighs, and transfer the fat where many ladies want more fat - their breasts!!! Harnessing stem cell technology, scientists can now inject a fat and stem cell mixture into breasts where the mixture encourages new breast tissue to grow. Talk about bosom buddies.
Although the procedure only takes about an hour to implement, one must wait about 6 months for the results to appear. More research is needed, but in the early trials of the procedure, called Celution, have been successful. In one study 19 women in Japan, all of whom had had at least partial mastectomies, all responded well to the treatment, with no major side-effects.
Celution could revolutionize cosmetic surgery and "breast enhancements," making silicone breast implants a thing of past - although the two procedures are similarly priced. While I think this procedure can really help women who have had mastectomies and desire breast reconstruction without taking muscle from another part of their bodies, part of me wishes there was no societal pressure to have "bodacious ta-tas." I guess that wish really sounds like science fiction.

1I am an A-cup and don't want implants b/c of the capsular contraction (it getting hard and round b/c your body is essentially rejecting the implant/foreign body). I would definitely consider this!!!
2I think this is great. It just sounds more healthy to move the fat around, which has already been in your body, as opposed to introducing a breast implant, which isn't something native to your body.

4I think this is great for people who have undergone mastectomies, but for the most part, more plastic surgery is not a good thing. Unless a person has severe disconfiguration, he or she should eat right, exercise, and be healthy. Moving fat from one place to another is not going to solve health problems or confidence issues. I barely fill an A cup and my love handles are too stubborn for words, but I've grown to love the way my body naturally is.
5I always wanted this but then I naturally developed (at the ripe age of 23) and do not want anything else added to my chest!

7This sounds pretty good, though really my boobs are too big as it is.
8I'm glad that there's a safer alternative to regular implants now, but I absolutely hate the thought that all of the stigma might be removed from breast enhancement surgeries - all those men (and women, for that matter) who say they prefer natural breasts would probably be singing a different tune if the natural breasts could suddenly be bigger, but just as "natural."
I agree, for women who've had mastectomies this is a great alternative; I just really don't want it to be so easy for women to be able to change their bodies in ways that are almost entirely motivated by societal pressures. Why on earth do we want bigger boobs, anyway?

10As a very small-chested girl, I am on the fence when it comes the implants. I want them, definitely, but all the possible complications kind of freak me out. If this worked, of course I would want it, but I think I will wait a decade and see how this procedure is doing.

14I always questioned why this was never an option in the past. I am so glad they've finally developed something like this! If I ever feel the need to increase my breast size, this would be the option I would consider.
15i have always said that the only plastic surgery i would consider is liposuction from my ass and thighs and only then if it could be reimplanted into my boobs--they are currently ridiculously disproportionate, and this procedure sounds like it would help a lot of women in my same position who just want to balance themselves out a little better.
16As much as I dislike cosmetic surgery, I think this is much better than silicone.
17I have nothing but envy for my naturally flat-boobied sisters who can wear a bra or NOT and who look cool and appropriate in sundresses and tops with flimsy straps. I HATE wearing a bra and I'm only a B-C cup!

i just thought another good reason this might b helpful...to moms out ter tat popped out babies, they always say somethin bout ter saggy boobs..lol..sry 4 usin tat kinda word but yea..and they probably gained more fat, so yea they could get rid of some of their fat in2 ter boobs.

I heard about this recently. Love the idea take the fat from my belly and give me bigger boobs...Yes please. I seen what cosmetic surgery can do first hand but sometimes it's well worth it. Until I got the money for it here's to working out and eating right.
