4Blackstrap molasses and sesame seeds are also good sources of iron. Adding a little lemon juice when you eat iron-rich foods helps your body to better absorb the iron.
5Yes, I'll add to what a previous poster said. Spinach and other plants may have a high iron content, but that form of iron is not always easily absorbed by the body. Vitamin C does improve the uptake, so grab a glass of OJ or add some orange slices.
