It's estimated that 80 percent of the female population has cellulite. While it's hard to embrace our dimply thighs, celeb trainer Jillian Michaels and starlet Kim Kardashian have both publicly admitted to having cellulite. During bikini season it's difficult to hide from the fact that most of us have some, but that also means it's not something we necessarily need to hide. Tell me . . .

Yep! And guess what? It's not a sin, abnormal or a "symptom", so to speak of ill health -- or even a measure of if you are fat or not. I am not ashamed of being human, of being imperfect. No one in this world is a picture of perfection.
1I agree, Chrstne!!
2Yes indeed, and any woman who says otherwise is lying
I work out everyday (a mix of cycling, running, climbing, strength training), have a BMI of 19, and still a bit o' cellulite on my bum. We can try to fight it all we want, but I've embraced my little lumps as perfectly natural!
3same here asche,i work out everyday,my BMI is 18 and i have cellulite on my bum. i find it strange if a woman doesnt have cellulite, lol
4I have some and it's never bothered me.
5I guess I'm one of the few exceptions. I run and go to the gym, that helps. But it's also just good genes, I think. My mom is 55 and she doesn't have it either (she's also a runner, though).
6Yes I do, on my bum even though my BMI is 19 and I workout regularly.
7I don't have any, I think it has a lot to do with genetics. My mom doesn't have any either. I do take care of myself and work out 5-6 days a week and eat healthy. I have friends who are smaller than I am that do have cellulite but I don't think it's abnormal or weird. If I did have cellulite I don't think it would bother me.
8Nope, I don't either. I agree -- it's genetics. Also, it's hard to see my pores, too.
I do have stretch marks on my hips.
9I do; even my husband has a little.
10I've worked out religiously since I was a teen. I'm athletic, play sports, bike, lift, run, eat incredibly well, and still have tons of it on my arms and thighs. Incredibly frustrating. If I didn't work out and looked like this I'd be happy, but I put in too many hours to still have it. It's even on the front of my thighs.
11I actually don't have any.
12I do have cellulite and have had it since I was 12. Right now I am in the best shape of my life, have very little body fat, exercise religiously, lift heavier than most people and have a very clean diet but it is still there. It used to bother me a great deal but the older I get the more accepting of my body I get and since I work this hard and still have it I know that there is nothing else I can do so I might as well accept it!
And Chrstne, your comment was right on.
13I have a little right below/on my behind, though at this point it's pretty hard to notice. I have been running regularly for almost a year, and the appearance has vastly improved with the small amount of weight loss that I have achieved. I really think once I start doing a little bit of toning and weight work it will go away completely. Even if it doesn't, I am really not that worried about it. I have stretch marks on my hips too, but they don't bother me much, either.
Like Christine said, no one is perfect!
14Heh. 28% of those who commented (first 14) don't have cellulite. I guess our group is a little better than the national average
15Funny you should ask now because previously I would have said no. I just noticed my cellulite on vacation - a little on the outside of my legs. Life goes on.
16I identify with every girl who dais she works out regularly and eats clean and still have cellulite. That's just life, I guess.
17No cellulite here! And so far, I have good genes in the wrinkle department. No one in my family has wrinkles. Yay!
18I've got it! A lot of it. No biggie, I'll exercise and it'll help!
19two little dimples on one thigh. HATE.
20Good news! I've been working out for about 5 weeks straight now, and I can already see a serious reduction. It's amazing.
21I have always had it since I was like 13. I was 5'6", 95 pounds, worked out obsessively and still had it on my thighs and butt. That was 15 years ago, I am a healthier weight now, watch what I eat, work out every day and it's all still there (I even have dimples on my outer arms all the sudden). My cellulite is hereditary (my mom has it really bad but then she is overweight and not in shape) and there's nothing I can do about it. My husband has helped me to accept it and make peace with it. As long as I know I am fit and healthy, there's no reason to be ashamed of a few dimples.
22I used to weigh about 45 lbs more than I do. The weight came off but the cellulite didn't. I just got over it: I think that's the healthiest 'cure' for cellulite.
23I have a little on my thighs.
24shockingly, those sandals, fit flops (which I bought because they were comfy, not because i thought their claims were actually true) actually DO reduce cellulite. there is definitely visibly less cellulite on my thighs since i bought them 2 weeks ago.
don't get me wrong, I exercise and eat right in addition to wearing those shoes, but i didn't change anything recently except wearing the shoes.
25I have none and I am not lying but that's not to say I never will!!! I'm very very petite and walk regularly as well as strength train. My mom was blessed not to have any but....she has spider veins and I am plagued with them already!
26I actually don't have any, either. But like others said, I think it's more genetic than anything else. I do work out a lot, but I think cellulite is more determined by how your body deposits your fat vs. how much fat you actually have. I think having a lot of muscle mass might decrease it as well, which kind of explains why a lot of dancers and runners don't have much cellulite.
27As a Hispanic girl, OF COURSE I have some. I've noticed a lot of us Hispanic girls deal with it, unfortunately. Although I really hate it sometimes, I've come to accept it. It's natural and I'm only human.
28Nope. And I also agree it's genetic. My mom told me she didn't get cellulite or spider veins until after she had kids. So, I guess that means I may get some in the future?!?
29I have it on my butt and back of thighs...but do you know the best cure for it? DONT LOOK AT IT IN THE MIRROR! You have to make an effort to look at your cellulite, and the less you worry about it, the better you'll feel about yourself.
30Yes - I think everyone has at least a little bit. I haven't run anyone who hasn't personally.
31Yes. Unfortunately.
On my butt and the backs of my thighs. It probably is genetic;
however, since I've been ill this year, I've slacked off with the exercise and it's definitely got worse as I've lost muscle tone. I probably ought to concentrate on some strength training
before summer this year! Being winter on top of being in convalescence has made me seriously sedentary lately. However, no matter how much exercise I do, I think I would still have quite a
bit of cellulite. I remember having it as early as 14 and probably before that. I became "aware" of it (embarrassed by it!) at 14 when I was on holiday with my family and had to share a room
with my brother; I was wearing shortie pjs and he pointed out the "dimples" on my legs.
I think that was one year I really wished I had a sister instead!
32i don't have any. i'm sure it's based purely on genetics, because i've went from very thin to thick and back again without getting cellulite. i do however have some spider veins...uck.
33Also, sorry Fit, but I wish you would stop using that photograph for the cellulite posts. I don't think that woman has much to worry about!
34I have some, not a ton, but definitely a bit on my outer thighs, bum, and the top backs of my thighs. I don't LOVE it, but I'm not ashamed of it!
35Little bit. Didn't have when I was fatter, but I was a teenager then.
36I have some on my thighs. I didn't though, when I was a teenager but I got heavy for a year and then lost it and there it was, and still it remains.
37I don't have it, and i've noticed my mom doesn't have it either so yeah...Genetics.
38I am quite thin and even I have a little on the back of my thighs (when I mean a little I mean a dimple or two). Though I find that doing squats with an exercise ball against a wall really helps to diminish the appearance of them
39Wait a second- the picture above, is that really cellulite??? I thought it was dimply.
40Sure I do. It doesn't bother me anymore.
41I don't, but I do have stretch marks, blegh. I work out a lot, so as long as I'm healthy that's good enough for me!
42LOL is that even a real question? of course i have cellulite. im a skinny b*tch and i have cellulite & stretch marks. i probably always will too.
43What's up, is there anybody else here?
If there are any real people here looking to network, leave me a post.
Oh, and yes I'm a real person LOL.
Bye,
44No cellulite. No one in my family has it either - ahhh, thank you ancestors! Love not have wrinkles as well!
45It only shows up if I clench the muscles or compress the muscles with two hands--hey, you gals who say you have no cellulite, have you tried that test? I count that as cellulite. And I'm very slim with a very clean diet and regular workouts and dance! I remember first noticing it when I was 10.
46Oh yes sir, i definitely have cellulite, I´ve had it probably since my early teens (I´m almost 24). I hate it, but only now ïm taking proactive steps to reduce it.
47Yep. It doesn't really bother me though - I HATE it when I put on some weight because my thighs look horrid, but if I slim down a bit I mainly notice it when I "squeeze" the skin there.
Bah, there are more important things in life that.
I'm surprised 20% of the female population doesn't have cellulite though, I thought it'd be way less than that! Does that also include little kids?!
48I'm skinny, working out, not eating much and I do have. But who cares?
49haha i even saw a little skinny toddler with cellulite last weekend.
