At 48, Madonna is one fit momma. I knew she was a big fan of jogging around town and doing yoga from time to time, but it turns out that she has been doing a lot (and I mean a lot) more than just that to get ready for her Live Earth performance.

Sources say:
"...Madonna has been using the so-called gyrotonic expansion system, a wooden contraption of levers and pulleys which elongates muscles. She also practises pilates and yoga and does between 200 and 400 sit-ups a day."
That seems like a lot, even for Madonna, so I really hope she gives herself ample time to rest that tired body in between all her hard work. But even more than that, I really hope Madonna allows herself to enjoy the occasional cookie or piece of birthday cake.

mm, it is known that Madonna has an iron will and perseverance. She is business!

2I really admire her discipline. She looks so good for her age that she could put women that are younger than her to shame! But I suspect that she may work herself too hard sometimes which may be counter-productive.
3200-400 situps A DAY??!!! HOLY COW woman, lol!! Well, good for her! She looks great!
I only do 60 a day...and I thought that was a lot, haha.
4I've always admired her discipline, although sometimes I wonder if she does take it too far? I read in Vogue that she exercises everyday. While I may never have her iron will, she does inspire me to work on my fitness and I love doing cardio to Confessions.
5I hate to exercise! I could never do that much exercise with working 40 hours a week! LOL! I'm way to lazy and I'm the same age as Madonna!
