Who knew fiber would ever be trendy? But it's showing up as a buzzword on all sorts of product packaging, from Fiber One's Toaster Pastries and muffin mixes to more puzzling added fiber nuts. Do you pick up packaged goods that boast added fiber?

Fibre is found in any fruits and vegetable, so I don't see the point in buying something with added fibre: I think it's a bit of waste of money, you can have an apple an get the same amount of fibre...
I don't get enough fibre throughout the day, so I supplement my diet with Dorset Cereals' Super High Fibre muesli. It's a great way to start my morning.
I eat too much fiber... I don't care though. I love fiber enriched cereal, cereal bars, bread, etc. But I also eat fruit and vegetables (as doudys said) also... Keeps me from being bloated all the time though.
The ONLY "fiber enriched" thing I eat is Fiber One cereal -- not the poptarts, just the original cereal. Otherwise, I get it from fruits and vegetables.
I get most of mine from whole grains, fruits and veggies as those foods makes up the bulk of my diet. However, I really love the Fiber one granola bars!!! Delish.
I eat fiber enriched cereal (Kashi golean) but other than that my fiber comes from fruits and veggies
lol.... "eating this fake chocolate sugary crap is A-OK because it has extra fiber!"
I looove the Fiber One granola bars...
hello, fake food! yuck.
you can get the same effect by taking some metamucil with your poptarts.
I read a great expose from the Nutrition Action Newsletter about fiber added to food. It's a powder that is officially considered "fiber," but has never been proven to deliver the benefits of fiber found from natural sources. I get pleeenty of fiber from my diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Fiber One bars are glorified candy bars, that's all.
Sometimes. I like the fiber-enriched tortillas.
No, coffee makes me poop enough.
I get enough fiber from fruits, veggies, nuts, and whole grains. I don't need any supplements and I personally think the supplements are kind of dumb...it's basically just processed food with a gram or two of fiber thrown in to make people feel better about themselves.
I also eat the fiber one cereal (I find it delicious!) but that's it. Everything else comes from fruits and veggies and whole grains.
BTW, too much fiber is worse than not enough, imo.
If there's two versions of the same food, one with added fiber, I'd go with that one. My english muffins have added fiber, and I figure it can't hurt anything.
If something is already healthy (not like the chocolate treats shown above) and then it says it has added fiber, I'll get it! Because fiber is free calories! It passes right through you, and you feel fuller!
I need to have 35+ grams of fiber per day just to um (cough) use the bathroom (cough). I eat lots of fruits and veggies, but it still isn't enough. I try to supplement when i can.
Love the Fiber 1 bars, but goodness, they sure do give you gas!
