Running shoes feel great on my feet, but a woman cannot live in sneakers alone, so I have been looking for new ways to give my tired feet a little extra support. I found Instant Arches ($8), a comfy one-size-fits-all arch support. I literally stuck a pair into my flats — they have adhesive backing to keep the support in place. I wore the shoes all day, and like most days I logged a fair bit of walking miles. See how my feet felt at the end of the day when you read more.
My feet felt much happier having worn the Instant Arches in my shoes for the 10 hours I was in my flats. I suffer from very low arches and find most fashionable shoes don't provide enough support for the arch, but orthotics are too bulky for anything but an athletic shoe (plus they can be pricey). I found these arch supports easy to install; by peeling the protective layer back only halfway, you can fiddle with placement before completely sticking the support in the shoe. This means you cannot change the support from shoe to shoe, so buy a pair of Instant Arches for each pair of shoes that require some extra support. The adhesives mean you can add arch support to sandals and flip-flops — the least supportive shoes on the planet. You can buy Instant Arches online, at a discount when you buy five or more pairs.

I've been looking for a product like this for the longest time (ever since I bought a gel-like arch support for my walking sandals)! Thank you Fitsugar.
1I have really high arches, I wonder if these would fit mine?
2Arch support is such a myth that started with 1950s orthopedic shoes... Ask anyone who REALLY knows running shoes (not just the guy trying to sell you the most expensive pair) and they'll tell you that athletic shoes don't actually have much of what we think of as "arch support". They do provide protection, stability, and padding. Fashion shoes are bad for your feet because they force your feet into weird positions and make you walk differently, not because they don't have arch support. Humans are meant to walk barefoot, which doesn't provide any arch support either.
3you could also place a piece of velcro to your shoes and the arch support and then you could move them from shoe to shoe w/o having to buy lots of pairs! just lots of little velcro circles.
4My arches are really high and sometimes flat shoes bother me, so these could help if they're high enough.
5wow these are great i need to buy one! I love wearing flats , this would help alot because by the end of the day my feet always hurts ALOT
6Thanks Fit, I am gonna try these as my feet are flat! Cute shoes, too
7I prefer Superfeet. They make them for flats and high heels and are a lot more substantial and more comfortable. I bought mine at Nordstrom and they are amazing!!
8For women who have high arches, you should consider doubling the Instant Arches.
Thank you for your interest
9i recently went through a bout of foot pain and concluded it was my flats with zero arch support. What a great option to stay stylish AND comfortable!
10Cute shoes!
11I try to rotate between shoes with and without arch support, and I've found that although my feet are tired at the end of the day in shoes without support, they've gotten a good workout!
