If you're regularly exposed to the sun's harmful UV rays, it can lead to skin cancer, wrinkles, and sunspots. The obvious solution is to protect your skin with sunscreen. One problem though is that lathering your skin with SPF lotion can cause breakouts on your face, neck, shoulders, and back. For some people, it's so embarrassing that it makes them want to forget the sunscreen altogether. Remember though that not all sunscreens are created equal. To help prevent breakouts caused by sunscreen, read more.
First of all, if your skin is acne prone, you'll want to use a special sunscreen designed just for your face and another for the rest of your body. Go for an oil-free face lotion like the one shown that is specifically formulated not to clog your pores — the technical terms is noncomedogenic. If your body is prone to breakouts, choose an
oil-free body sunscreen that's also noncomedogenic.
If you have acne lotion or topical medication you use, apply it to your clean skin first, and then apply the sunscreen 30 minutes before heading out into the sun. As soon as you come inside wash the sunscreen off. If you've tried a certain brand of sunscreen, and it's caused pimples then try another one. It may take a few tries or a visit to your dermatologist for suggestions, but whatever you do, don't give up and forget the sunscreen. Your skin will thank you later.

a few years ago, i tried that neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch sun block. i didn't get it too close to my eyes, yet every time i wore it, my eyes watered uncontrollably and it wasn't allergy season. so that's my excuse for not wearing it (J/K). I've since found one that works, but that was my experience with that particular product.
1the BEST facial sunscreen is Clinique's new SPF 30 face cream. I have super sensitive skin and it doesn't bother my skin at all. for my body I use Coppertone Nutra-Shield SPF 70 (my mom had skin cancer, so sunscreen isn't negotiable in my book)
2I have very sensitive skin, too. In fact, my skin is allergic to most soaps, shampoos, and conditioners. I'm naturally very fair-skinned with very fine pores. For me, my dermatologist recommended Aveeno Baby SPF 55. It's the best sunscreen I've ever used. One of the best parts is that it is readily available at stores like Target, and it's price point (under $10). It's a good product, and due to its easy availability and low price point, I use that product generously (I re-apply at least once a day).
3I use ultra sheer, but my friends with very sensitive skin use Juice brand sunscreen and it works well
4I use Aveeno sunscreen for my face and it's amazing, especially since I usually break out if someone looks at me cross-eyed.
5i break out SUPER easily, but the neutrogena ultrasheer sunscreen hasn't caused me any problems.
6I LOVE the neutrogena sunscreen . My mom has used it for years , and I wear it daily , and my skin hasn't had any problems so far .
7I had the burning problem too with the Neutrogena sunscreen. I do like the clinique brand even if you don't have sensitive skin.
8Please be careful with anything that has oxybenzone in it. This includes neutrogena.

9Poptart Princess - Funny you mention your eyes burning with that sunblock, my boyfriend experiences the exact same problem.
I am a hermit crab when the sun is out. Seriously, I'm super fair and skin cancer runs in my family.
10I use powder sunscreen, especially on my face. My favorite is the Peter Thomas Roth one. The Bare Escentuals one isn't bad, either.
11Powder sunscreen is good... Everyday Minerals Natural Reflections finishing powder is a great way to give your makeup a finished look and stay safe
12I usually wear mineral foundation on my face because I also break out very easily. I've found that mineral makeup goes on smoothly, covers evenly, and does a great job protecting my face without any irritating ingredients.
13I'm intrigued by the powder sunscreens but its not waterproof. Any suggestions for waterproof sunscreen that won't make me break out?
14besides Neutrogena and Aveeno they both make me break out...
