The weather is heating up all over the country, except maybe here in the Bay Area. Warm weather means folks are reaching for cooling treats. Popsicles tend to be lower in fat than ice cream, but ice cream is cool comfort food. While most people prefer one type of frozen treat over the other, some opt for popsicles because the calorie count is lower. What about you? Which frozen treat are you more likely to eat?

Ice cream for sure! Although it's not exactly warming up up here in Northern VT...
Does soy ice cream count? I would eat regular more often if I could stomach it!
I'm vegan so it's popsicles for me!!
Without a doubt ICE CREAM! I'd rather have the real, creamy, deliciously rich stuff than a fake, "fruit-flavored" stick of coldness!
Ice cream, although I tend to go through phases depending on how I'm feeling.
Popsicles all day long.
Popsicles por vida
Ice Ice (cream) baby!
I'm lactose intolerant - so it's popsicles for me. tropical fruit please.
Popsicles hurt my teeth -- they are too cold and never taste right. Ice cream all the way!
My BF's parents own an ice cream store - local, organic, amaaaazing stuff. Ice cream all the way.
I really prefer ice cream, but I've been sticking to popsicles lately
FROZEN YOGURT
Popsicles! Specially those that are from Latin America. A Mexican store was recently open near my house and they sell the best popsicles ever
Definitely ice cream. Higher calories or not, at least it is a bit more than sugar and artificial flavoring. I have to agree with totygoliguez, though. The real-ingredients popsicles at the Mexican grocery store are also great.
I hate popsicles. Sorbet for me.
Definitely Ice-cream!
No contest--ice cream!
Popsicles. It gets so hot here that ice cream is too heavy.
I can't even remember the last time I had a popsicle. I find them messy and not terribly exciting. It is either ice cream or gelato or fruit smoothies, mmmmmm.
Ooh, when it's really hot out, I love popsicles. I make them with real juice and they're delicious.
ick to popsicles. i love ice cream + froyo!
Ice cream and Fro Yo!
Whatever's available...usually it's ice cream, so that's what I'll have. I like going to get frozen yogurt though...and I don't mind popsicles - except they seem like they have more sugar than yogurt or ice cream. Don't know how true that is, but that's what it tastes like to me.
Ice cream, duh! Popsicles do not excite me, and I hate the taste of the stick. No ice cream on a stick for me, either, unless I can scrape it off into a bowl first.
Ice cream is my weakness. I could eat a whole Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough pint in one sitting. True story.
Mmm, fro-yo.
Ice-cream is a bit too rich for hot summer days.
Of course it doesn't help that I'm slightly lactose intolerant... but fro-yo is worth the discomfort
Fruitfull frozen fruit bars at Whole Foods are better than popsicles and the coconut is yummy!
I have always preferred popsicles over ice cream. I like the fresh taste it has and since I'm not allowed to eat any diary products (I'm lactose intolerant) it's easy to chose.
Ice=lollies. i think it's a childhood thing
