This summer most of us have more opportunities to do more outdoor activities than during the chilly days of winter. Personally I love being out on the water, but do you know which summer water sport burns more calories?

Wow, water skiing would have been my last pick since I thought standing still was the only thing involved! But it probably takes a lot of control to stay upright while moving at a high speed and wield those waves and turns.
But all of these water activities are true calorie burners, and I can't wait to hit the ocean this summer!
1Water skiing would have been my last pick too, because I always feel like I'm just keeping balance and not doing much physical activity. Great quiz though, I love water sports.
2So I tried kayaking for the first time this weekend.
I don't think I will ever try it again. I
am a girly girl but I will try anything once....nope, not for me and I got sunburnt
I do love the paddle boat though
3hah! got it right.. i figured all the other activities seemed rather cardio-like and water skiing was the only activity that somewhat resemebled resistance training.. so yeah wohoo got it right.
4I would have thought kayaking...
5i would think swimming would be the best water sport for fitness
6I'd be so scared to waterski
7Water skiing may burn the most calories of the 4 choices over the period of one hour. But really, who is going to water ski for one hour?
8I've been water skiing before, and while it probably burns more calories per minute that you do it (don't get me wrong it is totally a workout), there's a lot of time sitting around in the water waiting for the boat to get themselves together. Kayaking is a WAY better calorie burner for me, not only are you moving constantly, but I end up having so much fun that I'm out there for hours!
9I got it riiggghhhtt!i thought it was that because of the pressure u have 2 exert and like u gotta hold on tight!
10I wonder if wakeboarding burns as many calories as water skiing? Wakeboarding takes serious stamina and resistance. I love it as a work out, and I easily do at least an hour, bu I do agree with thatgirljj, you do spend a lot of time sitting around on the boat, but if you stay out for at least 4 hours, you can be on the water for at least 25 minutes a hour!
