I know a few of you hardcore athletes might scoff at the idea of lip gloss being gear, but this gloss offers sun protection along with color, and that is why I am ranking it as gear. Lips should be treated like skin and protected from the sun's rays. Most shiny lip gloss actually attracts the sun, making it easier for harmful rays to penetrate the delicate flesh and causing skin cancer on your kisser.

That is where Clinique's Long Last Glosswear ($14) with SPF 15 comes in handy. It coats and protects your lips, and it really does last. It is flavorless too, which I think is great, and the texture is so thin you forget you have it on. On my way out the door for a midday run, I couldn't find my chapstick with SPF, so I wore this lip gloss. It was great. It kept my lips moist and protected. It comes in many shades and is available online at the Clinique website.

Oh man, I've been wanting to buy one of these for MONTHS! Except when I tried it on, it seemed super sticky, as in "a light breeze and all your hair's stuck to your lipgloss"-sticky. Did you not have that problem, Fit?
1i'm ALLLLL about the SPF on the lips. I got a burn there last summer and thought I was going to die! This sounds good except the stickiness!
2While I would obviously recommend using a lip product with SPF in it, I would advise against the use of this particular lipgloss. It's the stickiest lipgloss I've ever used, and I've used a lot! My lips were somewhat sticking together when I was just TALKING, my hair getting stuck in it like mad made me give up on this one.
3Compared to my MAC lip gloss and Benefit, this is a lot less sticky. Also, I tend to wear my hair back, especially when running, so there is not a lot of opportunity for strands of hair to get stuck in the gloss.
4Cool, thanks for the replies.
I really to get an SPF gloss/balm, I can feel the
difference on my lips now the weather's warmer..
5Oh, I love Clinque lip glosses. I need to pick one of these up!
6i ALWAYS put sunscreen on my lips. don't you?
