I try to get in at least one good workout every weekend, and if that isn't possible, I take a long walk or get active some other way. How about you: do you commit to working out on the weekends?

Once, if that... I run around all week and I'm usually too tired on the weekends to do anything except my Masters degree course work that I can only do on the weekends since i work 13 hour days at the studio :] hehe. I love to swim though, so I like to try to get out an swim at least once a weekend (even though the pools at my apartment are always extra crowded on weekends)
1Usually twice but this weekend-chosen to have a lazy day today, oops and tomorrow I'm travelling so no gym for me.
2Today: 42 mi bike ride
3Tomorrow: 1 mi OWS (open water swim), 50 mi bike ride
... so, three this weekend
Mostly it's twice, but this weekend it's four because I'm splitting my normal routine up since I'm at work today.
4Twice.
5Usually twice. But sometimes I'll get lazy or just be too tired and it will only be once.
6Twice. I like to take advantage of the extra time.
7I danced which I suck at cuz I can't dance at all Im a compleat klutz I also took up track and feild sucked at that too
8I usually don't work out. I went to the gym today and did 45 mins cardio plus weights.
9Not at all
10i don't "work out" on weekends any more. instead, i focus on practicing yoga, and fitting in leisurely activity like walking outside. unless there are unusual circumstances, i never waste weekends in the gym any more!
11I'm pretty inconsistent. I occasionally go to the gym, and I usually try to get at least a short run in. I'm a generally restless person though and prefer active recreation, so I often will swim, walk, hike, or dance on weekends.
12On the weekends, once. I do most of my workouts during the week.
13I run seven miles a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. I never miss a day. I've run while sick, run when I've had devastating life news, run after 22 hours of flying with 3 international stops. I don't want to hear the whiners with excuses. It's your time for yourself.
14I work out 6 times a week including Saturday.Sunday is my official rest/laundry/massage,movie etc. day:)
15i strength train on both weekend days, and a mixture of stregth training and cardio for the weekdays
16I work out EVERY SINGLE DAY and today was no exception. I was on the treadmill doing interval walking at inclines... REST: 3.9 pace @ 8 incline WORK: 4.2 pace @ 13 incline -- 101 minutes total!
Love my walking!!
17Love it, GlasBash!
18I usually take advantage of the extra time to do my longer distance runs. This weekend was a little difference...saturday was two hours of cardio stripfit plus a five mile run, and sunday I raced a 5k (plus warmup/cooldown) and was first in my age group and fifth female overall.
19spacekatgal- maybe i'm confused on your meaning, but just to be clear...i'm a competitive runner, and, even if you're not competing, if you want to improve your work-out, meaning build muscle or run a faster 7 miles, you need a rest day, and 2 rest days is totally fine. it's not "whining" - this is coming from running experts, and I've never heard differently from any professional. personally, i'm a believer in "active rests" so I just do something different and lighter.
Both weekend days. I take advantage of the extra time.
20You HAVE to have a rest day otherwise you'll screw up your joints, muscles and become exhausted. If you simply *have* to exercise every day then this is not healthy and counselling should probably be sought for exercise addiction.
21Yeah, I hear that a lot, lilmissxmolly. I'm really not as interested in competition, since 7 miles at 8:24 are just fine with me. I run for my health and because I enjoy it. And when I don't run, I get seriously b****y.
22I mean, what do you do that is lighter that leaves you feeling like you've worked out? If I had an alternative, I might take it.
23I usually work out twice during the weekend - on Saturdays I'll either go for a jog or my boyfriend and I go for a long walk/hike somewhere. On Sunday mornings I go to the gym for a quick run to warm up for an advanced Vinyasa Flow class which kills me!
24I usually take weekends off. Right now I work out Monday thru Friday early in the AM before work, and as soon as I get this exam for work taken that I need to, I'll probably at 2-3 evening work outs. Jumping rope, going for a walk, bike ride, etc.
25I like to enjoy my weekends and relax since the week is stressful.
i'm actually really good at maintaining my routine on the weekend. i usually work out for 45 minutes to an hour on the weekend days but at least i go
the way that i remember to go is that i have a separate membership at a gym in NJ where my mom lives and i go on the weekends. if i don't go to the gym 2 days then i'm wasting a LOT more money.
