Although I haven't had a glass of milk in years, I use it daily in my coffee and pour it over my bowl of cereal. I recently realized I didn't know much about milk nutritionally. Do you? Take this quiz and see.

I'm not crazy about the first question. Ok, so skimmed milk has more calcium then whole milk. But how can your body properly utilize the calcium (and FAT-soluble vitamins A&D) with the fat in natural milk?
1I love your site Fit, but I think it would be great if you did an article on why whole milk is good for you, and how not all saturated fats are evil (the kind found in natural whole milk actually helps raise your good cholesterol).
Correction: Meant to say "withOUT the fat in natural milk"
2sorry, typing too fast sometimes,lol.
I don't know what kind of milk Fit is drinking, but I checked the 2% in my fridge and it has vitamin C, it may only be 4% of your DV, but it is in there.
3Easy 4/4
4I think you should also add a question:
which milk has no hormones or antibiotics?:
5a. regular milk
b. organic milk
Michlny:Also an option
c. raw milk
6Vitamin C is also found in higher concentrations in raw milk than pasturized
7Great point Smacks -- raw milk is great...but hard to come by in the city (NY)
8I'm in NYC and the only way to get it is like a 2hour drive to a farm. Boo!
9WHOLE milk is the way to go. Why must our society always mess with what's natural? Perhaps God knew what he was doing when he created cow's milk... it's full of excellent vitamins and minerals which don't need to be tinkered with in order to avoid the saturated fat that isn't even proven to cause harm to our health, in and of itself.
10fyi - I bought some at Agata & Valentina (79th & 1st)....but I don't know if they always stock it.
112/4, I guess I don't know that much about milk! But I do drink it regularly, as do my children.
12why is that i only got the chocolate milk question right? Lol.
for me, i can't drink milk by itself (unless its chocolate of course!) Something about the taste. I always mix it with something like cereal or cookies, brownies, cakes...the sweets.
why is it that milk goes well with sweets anyways?
13I'm with Smacks83, I don't agree with the first question. I was under the impression that you actually needed the fat of the milk to absorb the calcium better and that if you have skimmed milk you need to ingest some fat in order to absorb the calcium.
14Man, I love milk -- especially Horizon organic!
15sure cow milk has a lot of calcium in it - too bad humans can't absorb it because we're not cows.
16but if you don't want to give up your cow milk, DO drink organic milk, but don't buy from horizon - they are NOT organic. http://www.democracyinaction.org/dia/organizationsORG/oca/campaign.jsp?c...
be aware - horizon milk is NOT organic. check out organic consumers association website.
17Haha. I only got the chocolate milk question right. I unfortunately don't drink milk. I did alot as a kid, but somewhere along the way I became grossed out by it. Not sure why. I do love me some chocolate milk though!
18Little bit booooooring
19don't drink milk. Its actually been linked to DECREASING the amount of calcium that you intake and contributing to osteoporosis.
20Many veggies like broccoli are naturally fortified with calcium and many other milks suck as soy and hemp have even more calcium.
