This video is a MUST see! I knew McDonald's was bad for me because of the cholesterol, saturated fat, and sugar content, but I had no idea that there were so many preservatives pumped into this crap too!
The man who made the documentary Super Size Me (which is also a MUST see, by the way), conducted this interesting science experiment with McDonald's food. Check out the French fries...

Here's the opening to the documentary Super Size Me. I definitely recommend checking out this entire movie (you can rent it through Netflix. It'll change your perspective on fast food forever.

Canada Goose
Levi's
Alviero Martini
Haha brilliant!!
He should look for a new intern though, looks like this one doesn't understand everything!
1It's not about being "happy with who you are". If you are reducing your life by 30 years and increasing your chances of heart disease/diabetes or cancer through your dietary habits then SCREW being happy. You need to start being healthy. >.<</p> 2
See! There are reasons why I don't eat at McDonalds. Now I have another to add to my list!
3That is truly disgusting. I avoid McDonald's like the plague - especially after reading "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser...that will seriously open your eyes to the reality of the fast food industry. Warning - don't read it if you've got a weak stomach - there's parts in it that detail the slaughterhouses!

5That's crazy, I cannot believe the french fries!!!
6After I watched Supersize Me, I stopped eating McD's for over a year. It really is crazy how chemically altered their food is.
7While the fry thing did trip me out, the burgers reacted the same way any food would if put under those conditions. I mean, come on, would anyone expect even the most nurtured and nature pure organic heirloom tomato would not do the same thing in 10 weeks in that jar? The only thing really awesome about that video, for me, was the fries. I may reevaluate how often I eat there just because the fries are my favorite part. I would like to see though, how the fries are degraded by the acids in a stomach, as well as some information of the effect of the preservatives contained on the body. The information is probabyl out there, but I don't feel like the top video really showed me anything. The movie was good though, and did a great job of highlighting how what seemed extreme when he did it really wasn't when held up to our average fast food intake in America.
8i gasped out loud when i saw the fries. i don't eat anything from mcdonald's except a fruit parfait and iced coffee, rarely a grilled chicken or snack wrap...but sometimes i beg a few fries from a friend. that.is.disguting. and i have the movie supersize me but i have yet to watch it. can't wait.
9I love Morgan Spurlock. He is hilarious, and McDonald's is disgusting!
10"Super Size Me" really drove home the point of how bad fast food is. I saw it two years ago, and that movie turned my own fast food habit from occaisional to nonexistent.
That just goes to show you how insidious the industry is and it makes you wonder what ingredients go into that stuff.
11I didn't eat very much fast food before this movie, but after seeing it a couple of years back, I can't even look at McDonalds without feeling sick. I recommend everyone sees this movie.
12that movie caused me to stop eating fast food for ever.
13
Wow! :0
14Ever since seeing Supersize Me I'm proud to say I haven't stepped foot in a McDonald's. It's probably been over 2 years. Sooo disgusting.
15I can't even eat at McDonald's; it makes me feel horrible for the whole rest of the day.
16That was so nasty, it was hard to watch the whole thing! Glad I'm a vegetarian. And what the hell is in those fries that preserves them so well! Chemical creepiness! Those have to be the farthest thing from a real potato!!
17oh ps i definitely sang that song when i was little.
18I never eat fast food, and after this it will stay that way..
19I eat McDonalds still. Everything in moderation right? I don't know why, but I don't really care. It's like ice cream, or smoking. It's more probably that I will die walking down the street than from any of my vices... and I enjoy them.
20Whoa. Those fries are crazy! I've never seen Super-Size Me, but I definitely intend to (especially now that I know it opens with one of my favorite Queen songs). I love the occasional Big Mac, but I doubt I'd love it so much if I paid more attention to what's in it and what it does to my body. Ick.
21that is so groooooooooooooss!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw supersize me too and it actually didnt put me off fast food (minority here, haha). I mean I knew it wasnt healthy, and the results on his body were incredible, but im not eating it three meals a day, (I barely eat it twice a year) so i figured it would be like having a rich dessert every now and then.
However, I really really looove the french fries. Sometimes I will get a craving for just french fries and get a small order from the drive thru window.
Now I'm thinking of giving it up forever. Thank you. I needed that visual.
22This clip is part of the bonus footage on the DVD. I bought it....I don't know why, but I've watched it several times. It's good to have around when you get fast food cravings.
23Oh PS - do you know if their ice cream is bad too?
24I can't remember the last time I had fast food, but I think I know why. Even in a nuclear disaster those fries would still look like that I think.. haha
25No not for me. My Children doesn't even eat there.
26I haven't seen that documentary but I still eat in fast food outlets, like twice a year or so. It was a bit silly that he kept mentioning the mold on the burguers. Of course there would be mold. Have you seen fruit? Eww. Everything molds if left alone. Still. The fries. Those were freaky. I will avoid *those* next time, I think.
27Eeeew.
28Something to think about the next time I'm tempted to eat a hamburger. *shudder*
Yuck!! I remember my roommate cleaning out her car and finding a McDonald's French fry that still looked new even though it was probably months old.
So to add to the list of things that will survive a nuclear holocaust:
1.cockroaches
292.Cher
3.McDonald's French fries
this was an extra on the dvd and after i watched it i have not had a mcdonalds fry, not one in like 3 years i think and i have only eaten there at all about 4 or 5 times and only if i have to. it really opened my eyes
30that is just gross! I can't imagine what it does in the body :| plus, mcdonald's has alwayd made me feel sick for the rest of the day.. I recently watched "Supersize me" and it made me just HATE all junk food (not just mcdonald's). I was once told by an old relative that if you really want to be healthy, avoide all processed food becasue everything that God had created has its own benefits without the need for human's intervention (which ultimatly makes it worse by over processing it, filling it with preservatives and then make you pay a minimum of 3 times more than what it would naturaly cost you).
31Wow, I really want to go rent that movie now. Luckily, I have never been a huge fan of their french fries...but after watching "Super Size Me", I might not be a fan of anything they have to offer!
32I can't see the FF clip
33oops nevermind it is there now.
34Yuck!!
35
36I think that the empahsis on the mold on the burgers was to show that it kinda took a little while for it to really grow.
I've left food in my fridge for a few days and the mold grew alot faster on 'normal' than on those burgers.....
I shall never ever ever eat mcdonalds fries ever again. Dang, thats nasty.
37** the 'normal' was ment to have food after it....
38This was UNBELIEVABLE!!!
39this was probably the best diet tip you've given me fit
40I haven't eaten fast food in years. It's vile, and I can't bring myself to eat it. Being a vegetarian also helps
41Whoah....I still hate McDonalds
42I really want to see that movie.
43Wow, that was gross and it makes me want to NEVER eat at McDonalds again, EVER!
44Very nice site!
45Very nice site!
46french fries cant just break down by pure air. If it goes into our stomach, it will be digested by our stomach acid called hydrochloric acid which are PH1-PH2. our stomach break down food together with enzymes.
If fries cannot be broken down, then we will be sh*tting YELLOW french fries then?
This experiment is crapz!
but i agree fries are bad with health. cos it is DEEP FRIED food.
47GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
