Ever notice it's easier to fall asleep when you hear the gentle chirping of crickets in the night or the low whirring of a fan in the window? You can use the power of white noise to help you relax when you're not sleeping. Take a break from your busy day and block out all the telephone rings, babbling co-workers, and computer tapping by listening to white noise. The soothing sounds of crashing beach waves, a thunderstorm, rain pouring, chimes, a clicking clock, or wind are subtly calming. They can bring you to a state of relaxation instantly. Buy CDs of tranquil sounds, or if you have an iPod Touch or iPhone, download the White Noise ($1.99) or Ambiance ($.99) applications.

Have the White Noise iPhone app and it's great. It gets me to sleep and it's great for sleeping on planes.
1I need to find a CD that's not overly chirpy or doesn't sound like I'm about to drown in a waterfall
2I have a 3-in-1 sound machine/ radio/ alarm clock and I love it! It has rain (my favorite), waterfall, thunderstorm, summer night (crickets), rain forest, and white noise. I couldn't fall asleep without it anymore!
3I have this CD & it's relaxation sounds (like waterfalls, rainforest sounds) and sometimes I meditate to it, it makes me feel very relaxed and lets me relieve stress in a positive way, it's great!
4after i moved to london from australia i missed the noise of birds singing so i got a birdsong CD! i felt like such a dork but it's really relaxing to have it on in the morning when i'm getting ready for work.
5white noise helps me sleep so much! i have a fan in my room going 24/7. i do have the 'white noise' app ($.99) and it's awesome when you don't have a fan to get the job done (like in an old hotel room - ah yes).
