I just found a new brand of exercise clothes that I am in love with. Although the company is called Beyond Yoga, they have a variety of styles which can be used for any type of movement. In the photo below, you can see the Straight Back Cami ($60) and the Supplex Short Shorts ($58) in action.

To hear why I love this new outfit, read more.
I love the top for two reasons. It has a fairly high neckline so your girls are kept covered — even when doing all kinds of inversion poses, my cleavage stayed hidden. Plus the built-in shelf bra is surprisingly supportive. The other thing I love is the material. It's soft and supple, has some stretchiness to it, and is slightly thicker than many of the tops I've tried. The material feels rich and luxurious, and washes in the machine well, which is a huge plus for exercise gear. This top is long enough to keep your belly covered when moving around, and the material doesn't shift or bunch up.
The shorts are made out of the same incredibly soft material. I love the wide waistband that fits snugly around my hips. It stays put, and even when bending forward, I didn't have to worry about revealing the top of my bum. These shorts are pretty short, as you can see from the photo, so they'd be great for running, dance, strength training, or other types of exercise.
I know these clothes aren't cheap, but since the material is such high quality and they fit your body so superbly, they're well worth the splurge.

I get the fact that the fabric feels good against the skin and that important when you're doing any physical activity, but its ridiculous how much "yoga gear" is costing. for $60.00 I can go to Old Navy and walk out with at least two completely comfortable and breathable yoga outfits.
1I love this brand. I started buying this line from Yoga works in SF, I love the way the fabric feels.
2mparker - I used to exercise in less expensive Old Navy exercise gear too, but then a friend bought me a more expensive outfit for a gift and there is a HUGE difference. It not only feels amazing when you wear it, wicking moisture and not bunching or riding up when you move, but it also washed much better, so IMO it's worth the extra dough. The pricier outfit still looks as good as when I got it over a year ago, and the Old Navy gear has pilled, threads have come loose, and the material has lost some of it's elasticity.
3I agree, investing in good workout gear is important. The fabric feels so much better and really adds to my workout. My favorites are lululemon, lucy and zobha and I find that the lululemon pants are the best for intense cardio as they stay up. Sometimes I have a problem with my pants falling down while doing moves like burpies and jumping jacks...
4It is very that you wear your most comfortable clothing when you do the yoga as you are doing some body stretching. You see to it that nothing bothers you in the process to have a much more effective body exercise.
5Recently I found some new yoga brands at Dick's Sporting Goods! They carry awesome product from Alo and Fila that feels great and fits fantastically!!
