We learned last year that Lauren Conrad loves kickboxing, but it looks like she's upped the ante and according to In Touch is now doing what her trainer calls the Body Box. Sounds vaguely sinister, but Jarret Del Bene, LC's trainer, says the boxing circuit is a full-body, high-intensity workout. Because the combos are always changing, the Body Box is also a boredom buster, which is good since the Hills star does the workout two to four times a week. The workout mixes punching and kickboxing moves with squats and other conditioning exercises.
Del Bene said LC follows a healthy diet, but she is limiting her caloric intake to 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day, portioned out into five or six small meals. While that is not dangerously low — an adult requires about 1,200 calories daily before the metabolism slows down as if there is a threat of starvation — I think I would feel hungry all the time if I ate like that every day, especially if I was exercising intensely. You can check out Lauren frolicking on the beach here.

I would definitely be hungry eating that little and working out that much. I guess that is why she is on tv and I am not
1A calorie intake of 1200-1500 is good. I mean it's a diet so even if she works out that much it's a healthy diet!
2I'd be hungry
3its like marcia cross said that celebrities are basically paid to not eat. its crazy. plus i read that she smokes up all the time but refuses to be photographed doing so. so she might look great for the moment but her lifestyle will catch up with her.
4Personally, I would probably be hungry on that too. However, I feel like with Lauren Conrad people are either saying she's too fat or that she's getting too skinny.
5i am a marathoner, so i run 60-80 miles a week, plus plyometrics that i learned from a book, which rounds out to 1-2 hours of intense training a day, plus one long run a week, around 2-3 hours. working out 7 days a week, people. and granted, i eat what i want, as long as it's not fast food or covered in grease.
seriously? 2-4 times a week? i'm sure 1500 calories a day is fine for her. the workout he is describing (circuit training) is not heinous, especially depending on the person doing the workout. i've seen Lauren and Whitney with Jarret on that show. it's not like watching an olympic athlete work out... i wouldn't exactly call it intense.
6how do you have time to work out 2 hours a day!?
7I personally would be starving if I only ate that much, but then again, I'm very active. I don't think LC is doing an insane amount of working out, but yeah, she's doing the whole celeb-thing...getting paid to not eat, essentially.
8part of a celebrities job is to look better than "average". if you gotta workout 2 hours and eat that little, it's cool... CAUSE YOU'RE MAKIN MEGA BUCKS TO DO SO
what's more.... if you need a little "escape", it's not like it's
not readily available. but ok, say that she and alot of female celebs are "clean", still.... wouldn't dieting and working out be a TON more worthwile if you were more or less... getting
"paid" to do so and you could shop all you want?!
9That's the same amount of calories that I eat, and I'm NOT dieting. I've read that she's shorter in person, so we're likely about the same size. I never feel hungry or deprived--I just don't need more than that. She may be the same.
10lol, that is a fair amount of calories (not starvation!), and she doesn't work out every day and im sure its not that "intense". when i eat 1200-1500 calories i am really satisfied, even when exercising, and i am pretty tall with a slim build. she is not paid to not eat, she eats healthily and normally, unlike most celebs....
