Kim Kardashian has been on a health kick recently, eating better and upping her workouts. In a recent issue of Us Weekly, this E! reality star explained how she slimmed down from a size 6 to a size 2 (not that she needed to) for filming her three-part fitness DVD series titled Fit in Your Jeans by Friday ($15 each). Kim hasn't always been a fan of the gym — she loves her feminine curves. She realized she had to work out in order to keep them. Maintaining a certain weight won't do the trick — she has to do exercises that tone and sculpt her body.

If you want to hear about her workouts and her healthy diet, then read more.
To tighten and tone, Kim worked out daily for at least two hours, and sometimes did two workouts in one day. Each workout started with a peppy warmup, then she moved on to cardio using five-pound weights. She was a fan of doing squats and lunges to target her lower body. She finished with ab-toning exercises and stretching.
As for her daily diet, she used to indulge in burgers and fries, but now she avoids heavy carbs. Kim eats macrobiotic foods including tofu, veggie burgers, soy cheese, and quinoa. A macrobiotic diet is low in fat, high in fiber, and is predominantly vegan. It includes beans, nuts, a small amount of fish, local fruit, and emphasizes whole grains and vegetables, so it's super healthy. Not only did this type of diet help Kim slim down, but it's also believed to help balance female hormones to help with menopause, premenstrual syndrome, and prevention against breast cancer and endometriosis. Have you ever tried a macrobiotic diet?

Good for her for changing up her diet and working out but there is no way she is a size 2.........
1That's what I was going to say too...she looks great but with those hips and boobs there's no way she's a size 2
2She's also quite short. If you consider that, I see no reason why she couldn't wear a size two, especially in dresses.
3She looks great but I don't see how she is a size 2 either.
4I agree it's great she has decided to get healthy though.
Size 2! Wow her body is really curvy and she isn't really skinny like a stick. I don't think so, but she looks great! No matter what size!
5She looks great, but in that pic she can't be a size 2.
6it really annoys me when she keeps saying she's a size 2. she's just NOT. she has curves. she should embrace them instead of insisting she fits in 26 (aka US 2) jeans. big deal, you're a bigger size, but she looks good and healthy.
7i'm also calling BS on being a size 2, not that she needs to be a size 2, but don't lie about it.
8Fit - I'm quite interested in finding out more info about a macrobiotic diet (curiosity) but the link you gave to an old post isn't working (requires a log-in). Any chance you could post more info or recommend a good site please?
Thanks!
9I dunno, I think she could be a size 2 in those pics. I'm not as curvey as she is (at least on top for sure), but I'm curvier than a lot of other people who are a size 2, and I generally fit into 2's and sometimes 4's. Though definitely a 2 in skirts all the time. Maybe Kim is a 2 in skirts kind of gal, she does have a tiny waist. That being said, I think the dvd's look silly, I'll go with Jillian any day over Kim Kardashian.
10LORD I WISH CELEBS WOULD STOP with the 'size 2' business! You are not in any way a size 2, why are you lying???? are you that insecure?
11I think it makes for unrealistic expectations for achieving the holy 'size 2'. Or any size, since it depends a lot on height, weight, and body type. When I'm a size 2, people cry 'anorexia!'. I wish they would stop pushing it as the ultimate, ideal, perfectly fit, size.
12I like her and i think she looks great but I dont believe shes a size two.
13Yeah, people use the size 2 thing a lot. I'm just happy it isn't the size 00 that it used to be in the late ninetys! Maybe she is talking about dress size. Regardless, good for her. I couldn't do two hours every day, I do an hour 4-5 days a week, and I'm sore from that most times... I can't imagine doubling it and not taking a day off! Yikes, that's hard work.
14I certainly don't think it's realistic for most people to work out daily for 4 hours, but it's good that she's been able to get healthier while still maintaining her curves.
15She always looks amazing. It's great that she is eating healthy too!
16Whether she is or is not a size two is irrelevant to me... however I'm REALLY surprised at everyone insisting she's not, just by looking at some picture of her, have you all seen those exercises when they show 3 different women with completely different body types and heights and shapes, yet they all turn out to be the exact same clothing size?
17I'm just baffled at the complete overhaul she did for her workout and diet. Good for her for taking steps to get healthy, but that's so extreme. Hardly anybody with a normal job and a normal lifestyle could pull that off.
18hmmm.. what has she done to become famous again?
19Ya, laellavita I agree...2 hours a day, sometimes twice a day! I usually fit in one hour around 5 times a week in the gym and even that gets to be too much for my schedule. Must be nice...I would be a size two
if I could get in that much time at the
gym
20Size 2 or not, I think she's gone a little extreme. Sure, anyone could slim down by eating a macrobiotic diet and working out 2 hours a day twice a day, but how realistic is that going to be for her to maintain? I wonder if she'll regain any weight when she goes back to eating and working out like she used to. I mean, it's good that she wants to be healthy, but to go from her old lifestyle to one that's very Madonna-esque is a tad unrealistic.
21i agree with laellavita. she's made drastic changes that your everyday, recessionista may have a hard time with. that said, in my opinion, the macrobiotic diet/way of life well... sucks. it is and can be quite expensive and and can make your life and the lives of the people around you - if they too aren't macros - complicated( you'll seem like quite the diva on a dinner date ). that said, i haven't got anything against vegetarianism/veganism/plant based lifestyles and i don't mean to offend anyone, but those lifestyles don't agree with my biochemistry. i was extremely hungry and had some of the worst sugar cravings in my life. i also noticed that i had a really hard time sculpting any muscle and i didn't even have the energy to perform my usual intensity during my workouts. but everyone is different, so give it a go and then decide if you love it or hate it.
22HECK no she isn't a size 2. She is by no means "fat" (I think she looks great) but does she really expect people to believe she's a size 2? With those hips? And rear??? NO NO NO.
23i can definitely believe shes a size two. maybe a couple sizes bigger for jeans and pants.
24She could easily be a size 2 dress or top. Im sure in person she is tiny, no matter how curvy she is and looks on TV (I met Racheal Ray in person and Im 5'2 and in shape and felt like a beast beside her).
I also eat more of a macrobiotic diet and have been for about 5 months now. I feel better than ever and have lost all those extra pounds I was having a problem with.
You go Kim!
25I don't know why people take it like it's a personal affront to them if Kim Kardashian is a size 2 or not. I remember the same thing happened when Mariah Carey lost weight. There was an article in times uk yesterday where the author tried on several of Marilyn Monroe's dresses and she was way smaller than everyone thinks.
26If she's a size 2, I'm the freakin' Queen of England. She annoys the crap out of me.
27anyone would slim down if they had the time to work out 2 straight hours or more every day of the week.
28I can wear a size 2 in most dresses, but when it comes to jeans I'm a 4 or sometimes a 6 because of the booty. Technically I could claim 2 like Kim, even though I dont wear that size in everything.
Just a thought from the peanut gallery.
29well..... she might be a 2... i mean she is only 5ft 3inches tall... and that's on the petite side and cameras really do distort things. but yeah, it is hard to believe that what with her bodacious booty and all.
30I agree with laellavita.Any one with a real life couldn't do that.
31Karl Lagerfeld said that after a bunch of his models went on macrobiotic diets, their skin was ruined. If it does have an effect on hormone balances, then I guess that's possible. I'd rather not take that chance.
32Maybe size 2 in dresses or top. I'm a size 4 in dresses and tops, but my jeans usually is a 6 or 8, depending on the brand/designer, and I don't have her curve (I have flat ass).
I think she looks good the way she is, and was surprised at the extra attempt to be 'thinner.' But good for her to shape up and eat healthier.
33i'd have to see her in person, because i have to say i've been very surprised by the super small statures/frames of celebrities i've seen in person. but i'm 5'3'' and size 2, and i don't look anything like kim...just sayin!
and i agree with spectra - does she plan to keep this up forever? even if she is a 2 now, i can't imagine that she could maintain that size without a huge amount of effort.
34yeah, i'm like 110 and 5'3" and i'm not even a 2 in pants because i have a little hip, but with those curves there's no chance she's a 2. she looks good though, and i wish i had curves like that, but not a 2
35I doubt she was even a 6 before that! We have the same measurements, but I'm shorter, and I'm an 8... She had to be an 8 or 10 with those hips....
36I wish I had 4 hours to devote to the gym instead of having a real life...
37Whatever size she is, she looks great.
38this reminds me of when unflattering pictures of Jennifer Love Hewitt surfaced and she retaliated saying she was a size 2....
you don't have to be a size 2 to look good, so I don't know why everyone puts so much emphasis on a NUMBER!
39She looks good. It's nice to see someone with hips and booty like me! I would love to look like her for summer!
40I clicked on macrobiotic diet and it said Authentication Required and asked for a user name and password
41there are no more standards for women's sizes anymore. some many places vanity size, which i love!!! but who knows maybe in dresses "somewhere" she is 2. who cares? she looks great, but she is lying about something because trust me, if she is spending 4 hours in the gym she is doing something terribly wrong, she would be a stick figure if she was eating macrobiotic and working out that long...all you need is at least 30 minutes 5 days a week. anybody can do it with a little effort.
42she is absolutely a size 2. if you saw her in person youd be shocked by how tiny she is. having curves make her seem "bigger" but she is by no means big. her waist is 100% 26 inches. what are we in high school with the "shes so insecure she has to lie", "im so sick of celebrities" blah blah ? .. she has no reason to lie- she looks fabulous.
43Very nice site!
44I think it's great that Macrobiotic which came to US by a grass roots form it finally coming out through celebrities and inspiring others to find out about it. My mom ate macrobiotic only when she was pregnant with me and I was raised that way. I have experimented with different eating lifestyles and Macrobiotic is the answer! Macrobiotic means large or long life. For those who have experienced problems with this lifestyle, chances are you were following it improperly. It makes you beautiful and healthy inside and out. It can cure cancer and anything that ails you. If you are interested look at this book if you want to live a quality and happy life! http://www.amazon.com/Macrobiotic-Way-Complete-Diet-Exercise/dp/08952952...
45I saw her in person in Miami and she is TINY! She is definitely a size 2. Sorry haters...
46Well im a size 3 and im not curvy as her... and im 120 so I dunno seems weird.... maybe she is talking about a dress size.. Haha either way she looks great I love her.. Wat ever size she is... she is a beautiful person....
47I was at an event that she went to and she was wearing these tights/legging things and you could see her cellulite through it. I dont know why people insist on wearing those things as pants...
