Calcium is crucial for women's bone health, so it's absolutely imperative that you get enough in your diet. You can fortify yourself with calcium supplements, but since women need at least 1,000 milligrams per day or more, we should also seek out calcium-rich foods. Think you know how these foods stack up, calcium-wise? Take my quiz to find out.

8Trying to update an article about calcium-rich foods, I came across this website - and liked the test.
But as most everywhere, milk and dairy are promoted as best calcium-providing foods. If you want to do your family a service, don't serve them. They are fattening, inflammatory and addictive. Turn instead to vegetables (including cabbages and roots), herbs (dried and fresh), fruit, nuts, beans and garbanzos, whole grains.
Cave people milked no cows - and had much stronger bones than we have. They got plenty of moving around (no gym or jogging - just plain roaming all day), light (for vitamin D) and sleep. All of those are important for bone health - whereas dairy is not. Just think of it:: Grown cows have extremely strong bones - and they don't drink milk. They eat grass.
