I'm happy with my gym, but I love sampling the services at other health clubs too, whether it's as a guest of a friend or with a free pass to a new place. I like comparing everything from group classes to locker rooms. How about you: Do you like to try out different gyms?

i love the gym i go to - i don't even bother to use the other ones in the chain, because the one right down the street is absolutely perfect. i'm used to the layout, i'm friends with the people at front desk, and i feel comfortable there. whenever i use another gym in the chain, like when i'm traveling and there's another one in that city, i feel like a huge outsider.
1Yep , I've member of 5 different gyms in the past 3 and a half years! The one I go to right now is really good because it's not too busy and has good equipment (although lack of sauna=:()...I'm moving in June though so will have to find a new gym!
2My gym = my living room
3i don't go to the gym anymore. but when i did i was really not in the mood to try out different venues. i need to get "be fit" fever. i bet i'll gym hoping in no time
4Love to see what's out there, but HATE the typical gym sales pitches and marketing calls. So I try individual yoga classes and things but I've given up on gym free passes.
5i LOVE my gym - i go to equinox and it's a great gym for machines and services...but i actually have another membership at another gym as wel..which i don't go to here in NYC cause most of the locations aren't as nice, but there's one by my mom's house in NJ that i go to on the weekends...
that doesn't count as a gym hopper then right?
6I'm always on the look out for a gym in Houston like my most favorite gym (Club Med Gym in Paris @ La Defense) it has amazing advanced step classes and aerobics classes that I LOVED (as well as Body Attack and such). And in Houston I've tried so many gyms nothing comes at all close . . . im mostly a runner anyways but i don't bother with a gym because I can't find a gym here I like sighhhhhhhh
7My apt is my gym, so no.
8My gym is at work and I don't usually have time to try any other gyms. I like mine, though, so I'm fine with it. I do wish they'd offer a spinning class though.
9My room is my gym.
10Well I've only been to an other gym then my regular one once, and only cuz my friend had a free-day-pass to it and it's this very modern and IN Spa-Gym
other then that, the one I usually go to is perfect, so why switch?
11i was a lifeguard at a fitness club for years, when i quit working there my free membership continued. so i never considered joining another gym, but they are closing at the end of the month so gym shopping i go.
