Sometimes living a healthy lifestyle isn't cheap. You can end up spending hundreds of dollars on exercise equipment, heart rate monitors, sneakers, iPods, bicycles, a snowboard, or skis. Tell me, what's the most expensive piece of fitness gear you've ever bought?

Koodos
Beach Time
I'm not sure... I think my elliptical.
1My gps for running.
2My treadmill.
3I swear, it's my best friend in the east coast winter.
running shoes currently. but i've also bought pole vaulting poles for my high school and college.
4My Precor!
5i believe fitness should be cheap
i guess my HRT monitor... or my mobile phone that
i use as my walkie and stop watch
6Would my dance stuff count? I've spent literally THOUSANDS over the years on shoes, classes, costumes, makeup, jewelry, etc. The opportunity to buy new dance pretties is my main motivator to exercise (along with knowing I'll look great in it). I've been dancing for most of my life, paying my own way since my mid-teens, so it really adds up.
Other than that... My SuperPass for the local rec centers is probably the most I've spent on straight fitness stuff (a whopping $32). I don't fall for the 'slim your butt in 6 weeks with this equipment' gimmicks.
7Oh wait! I once spent $45 for a sports bra. (I'm a 34 D, I need the support!)
8my bike! she cost a pretty penny but i love her!
9my road bike!
10Kettlebells I think.
11Good question! My priciest items are my tennis racquet ($180), my bike ($350) and my running shoes ($100). But I've saved up $2000 over the last year to buy a treadmill when I move into a house!
12my horse
13haha tsp, i have two horses but never considered them fitness gear...
14i'd say my running shoes.
Probably my elliptical machine, but I intend to get an even more expensive one when mine dies...I ENVY YOU, LO LO!! I want a Precor SO BAD!! I'm saving my pennies for one
15My Garmin Forerunner 405
16My bike, but it was stolen. So for what I have now, probably my hiking boots - they were really expensive, but well worth the money.
17My Ipod, I can't workout without it!
18my mountain bike......or my elyptical
19My road bike and my horse! Not to mention the saddle that costs more than my road bike.
20Elliptical, then iPod, then running shoes.
21does my gym membership count?
22Treadmill
23My trainer (from several years ago). He was worth every penny, as he changed my fitness life. To this day, I still practice the guidelines he taught me, from eating to exercising. I'm content with my body (I must confess I have the body of my dreams), and I owe it all to him.
24my running shoes vary between 75 and 180. But the pricest thing is a running rain jacket (retailed 120, but I get a 40% of discount through my team
25Currently, my running shoes, which cost about £45 in a sale.
I then found the same pair 2 weeks later in a warehouse sale for £25. So I bought them too, as backup. Typical, though!
I do want to splash out on a pair of Lululemon pants, having heard so much about them (thanks Fit, for fuelling my obsession in the past, hehe), but they don't seem to sell them in the UK...
26Nothing right now...soon though.
27ipod is a little bit more expesnive, and then i have to factor in the nike+ cost, which pushes up the ipod cost.... but really that's once off, unlike my shoes which are replaced every 6 - 9 months....
28It would be my very expensive nordictrack treadmill, followed by my Ipod.
29My iPod I guess. Second place.. my pointe shoes $70.
30running shoes
31My bike which I haven't used in years b/c I left it back home when I moved, but it was recently shipped to me by my parents, in pieces and I've taken way too long getting it put back together. Then my ipod, which I could never work out without. Then my running shoes.
32My Technogym Kinesis Personal - but it's amaaaazing! my favorite way to workout
33Definitly my racing bike
34gym membership!
35My surfboard... I lovingly call her Pink Fatty McNasty
She's the best thing I've
ever bought.
36touring bike & accessories - $1150
training sessions each month - $400
'shock absorber' sports bras - $65 apiece (but they last forever)
getting so into fitness in the last few years that I'm now studying to be a personal trainer: priceless!
371. My gym membership comes to over $1100 a year. NYC prices, I guess.
382. Sneakers
3. heart rate monitor
My elliptical machine.
39Mountain bike, trekking bike, jacket, running shoes, polar hrm, cycling helmet, cycling shorts... Hm, maybe going to the gym instead wouldn't be as expensive as I thought
40My thousand dollar figure skates and all the accompanying coaching and ice time fees for that I guess.
