Kate Winslet continues to be my body-image idol. Not only does she want to expose the magazine cover glamour-shot relationship with Photoshop, but she has decided to send some love to her backside, rather than critiquing it. Taking a cue from Kate, I wonder two things. First, what part of your body could use a little love? You know, the body part you complain about or wish you could change. For me it is my backside, so I guess Kate and I have something in common.
Secondly, which part of your body do you love? I happen to love my arms. I have always liked the way they look, and I also appreciate how strong they are. They pull my body through water when I swim and lift my giggling girls to the sky. In honor of Valentine's Day, tell me how you will be showing your body some love.

I've been running a lot more lately so my butt has been looking good!
1I like my belly, since it's flat and even if I gain some weight, the fat usually appears on other places.
2But what I don't like about my body are my knees.
All of it, but as of lately the care I put into my skin is really showing.
3i love my legs - i used to really dislike them because they're disproportionally longer than my torso which is really short, but i also run at least 30 miles a week and finally realized how great they are. they're lean and strong, and i don't mind showing them off. i wish i loved my stomach more, though, it's always been my problem area.
4i LOVE my legs. i would love to have a firmer stomach and firmer arms, though. as a runner, most of my strength is in my legs.
5My lower back. I have been putting in a lot of time at a yoga ashram lately my lumbar is stronger and more flexible for it.
6I like my arms. Sometimes I like my butt too.
7hm, how to put this...I have a nice rack!
8I don't know if I can name anything that hasn't gotten love because anything I could name would be taken care of with exercise. But since getting kettlebells, I seem to be getting in better shape even after just a couple of times which I as thinking I was just imagining, then thought maybe I wasn't. It definitely makes me want to keep going with it.
9*Everything* could use a lot of love - TOUGH LOVE, that is. I'm putting my body through boot camp!
What do I love now? Don't really "love" anything...I like my toes. They look pretty awesome, I suppose.
10this is a hard one for me, I'm recently recovered/ing from anorexia and have always hated my body. I guess I'm starting to like my shoulders, I recently adds some strength training to get some muscle back and I'm getting so definition there. I guess I like that.
. But my thighs and tummy get the most hate.
11As I said before, I hate most of my body still
I used to like my tummy and my butt, but now both could use some serious toning! But on bright side I'm learning to like my legs, since the results of exercising are starting to show there
12My abs, and small waist. Basically, my core. Hubbie seems to like them, too, as he always put his hands there.
13I actually love my whole body, but my very favorite part of my body is my upper body--my arms, shoulders, and upper back. Second favorite are my legs...even though they're sort of short, they're very shapely and defined. Actually, the only parts of my body that I would change are my ankles (I got genetically blessed with "cankles" and I HATE them).
14my upper body and tummy are my favorite. I'm tall and have a nice structure.
15i need to start running again though, to tone my bottom half.
My tummy could use some love, no matter what I've never had a good relationship with it.
16I'm pretty happy with my thighs and backside...it's all the cycling I guess!
My back! It's turned into super awesomeness since I have been doing weights and back exercises! I'm always turning around and looking at it in the mirror before I step into the shower.
17My whole body could use some work. I love my hands. I have these long, elegant fingers.
And Teagan, good for you hun. Little steps.
18I used to think my butt was too big, but my boyfriend loves it and is always giving me compliments. It has made me learn that what I see in the mirror isn't neccessarily how everyone else sees me. I'm definitely learning to take more pride in my curves, especially my backside.
19I just got serious into exercise about 3 weeks ago and my whole body has changed so quickly! My arms are becoming my favorite, lots of push ups.
I'm also doing a lot of sit ups which is really improving that trouble spot. Right now I'm
not 100% happy with any part of my body, but I'm working really hard to change it and it's changing, so by next Valentine's Day it'll be a different story!
20Even though you cannot see it because of the layer of fat and skin I really love my abdominal muscles. According my surgeon and the plastic surgeon I saw my abs are rockhard and tight as can be under the layer of blubber that just won't budge.
21it changes all the time, i'm still figuring it out. i've started writing my body parts letters though:

I like my back, it's well defined and sexy! I also love my skin, I inherited really great skin! My belly is my problem area, after two C-Sections it's a little droopy, but it gave me two beautiful daughters, and I can always lose weight!
23I love my toned arms. Started weight training 18 months ago and it really shows. Somedays I love my belly (it's flat, but I bloat a lot
) and lately my butt looks more rounded - thanks to Yoga.
24legs and when i say legs i mean knee bellow lol
25Hey doogirl, pick up "Lose Your Mummy Tummy" by Tupler. It's not about weight loss, but PT exercises for helping separated ab muscles after childbirth. It might help your droopy issues.
I am pretty happy with my body right now. My only major problem is my skin. Even though I didn't switch formulations, it had really started flipping out from my birth control, and I am dealing with adult acne. Boo.
26my fingers
... kind of love thier lean look and my long
nails that enhance the look... lol.. im a complete fitness frek though... trying to tone my flabbbbbbby arms... read this article on this link for thin arms... i just hope its effective and
works...

27My legs and butt are my favorite parts!
I gain weight in my tummy, so it's always getting LOTS of love during Pilates. But it's not big or anything, it's just not my favorite part.
28My legs - they're the only part of me that doesn't seem to have suffered from the holidays.
29My neck always gets loads of compliments. Even at my heaviest I have a very well defined collarbone and long swan neck (but not freakishly giraffe like)
30I've always loved my legs, but lately I'm showing my tummy some love too. I've been working hard lately to reduce my tummy jiggle and it's finally working!
31My arms and my butt! My arms and shoudlers are looking SO NICE from my weight lifting and my ass is just gorgeous from running!
Now i am just working on my belly (which is getting there) and the sides of my thighs.
32My least favorite body part used to be my arms.. They've been huge and flabby when I was overweight and scrawny and chicken like when I lost the weight. So then I started weight lifting. My whole body changed but my arms quickly became my favorite. When I see the muscle I feel strong!
33Hmmmm...my chest and my arms.
34I love my overal shape (even though its not as "tight" as I would like it). I am pear shaped and love that I am pear shaped (I am latina afterall). Right now I'm really loving my butt because its getting a little higher from capoeira. Least loved is my poochie belly and knees (but my knees are crazy looking from abuse at roller derby). And to show my butt some love? I plan to purchase a snug pencil dress to show it off properly (also motivates me to work harder on my poochie belly).
Yay for loving the body you got!!
35I like my chest, my butt, and my waist. I like my legs too...sometimes.
36I've been working out more so I can get smaller arms and a toned stomach. Overall I'm appreciative of my body, it took awhile to get here though.
for the first time in a looooong time, I love my whole body.
37:]
Not a huge fan of my butt but I deal. I like my chest/shoulder area because it always looks toned even if I'm in a diet/fitness slump. Lately I've been focusing on working my core and I'm loving the results that I'm seeing in my abs!
38I love my breasts and same with Renee3327 I like my chest shoulders area because they stay toned even if I have not worked out in a couple of months. I also like the general shape of my body, even though I would like to lose about 20 pounds. My legs could be a little longer, but hopefully they will look longer once I lose the weight,
39I love my entire body when I'm naked or in my underwear, but with clothes on, there's not much fun, I look much more flabby.. Time to change the wardrobe, I guess! Favourite parts: boobs and bum ^^
One part I'm not thrilled about is my calves, though. They are wayyy too big so i can never fit into knee-high boots.. On the other hand, they're quite strong from all the muscle underneath.. Hmh..
40i love my arms and my abs (now) but hate my thighs.
41I love my arms. I feel like they're my best accessory!
42I love my whole body! I'm healthy, and it shows
43I love my shoulders! like to show them off - makes me feel confident and good about myself! =)
