My feet can always use some extra love and care, and a nightly foot massage just isn't an option for me (though that would be a welcome Valentine's Day treat). Our tootsies go through enough on an average day of walking around in not-so-comfortable shoes or running errands, but they really take a beating when a long workout is part of the equation.
Here's a simple solution for your sore feet: Grab any tennis-sized ball that hasn't been claimed by your pup and place it under the arch of your foot. Roll it along your arch and shift to whatever part of your foot needs attention. The movement will massage your sore feet and release some tension from your long day.

I'm forever trying to massage my own feet and shoulders for that matter! I'm constantly tensed up and that pic of a foot massage looks So good! I haven't been to a massage therapist in ages either.
And my husband is no help.
1Before I was married I used to think being in a relationship was a sure-fire, free ticket way for a nightly massage. NOT SO.
I never thought about a tennis ball. I use a can of some sort occasionally
2It works okay. Nothing beats a real foot massage, tho.
3Neat idea, although I miss the massage I'd get form pedicures.
42 words: yoga toes
They really get to my foot tension and pain
5What a great idea! I'm going to try the tennis ball technique. A lot of great massage info is also at: http://www.joylifetherapeutics.com/
6I may try this
