Ahh, it's finally flip flop season. You could definitely spend $12 on a cheap pair of foam ones, but chances are your feet and back won't be too happy with you.
So you might want to spring for a more expensive, yet more supportive, long lasting pair of Chaco sandals. These shoes have a durable yet comfortable sole that was specially designed to support the arch of your foot and control pronation. This in turn, improves your posture and helps prevent lower back pain.
The straps on these sandals are completely adjustable, stabilizing your foot for the perfect fit. These super designed shoes bear the Seal of Acceptance from the APMA (American Podiatric Medical Association). Not bad for a flip flop replacement.
The style ZX/2's are my favorite. They are so comfortable and cool as well supportive. The two narrow straps (instead of just one) create a better fit by conforming the sole to the curvature of your foot. They're great for sailing, canoing, kayaking, hiking through the woods and streams, or just about whatever you're into outdoors. You can get them from Rock Creek Outfitters for $94.95.
Chaco also makes more traditionally styled sandals and flip flops and if you want to see them just read more

These are awesome!! Are they actually comfortable to walk/hike in?? I love to take walks through the woods... and if i can do that in some sandals comfortably, I'll be in heaven!!
1I love my Z1s, I have three pairs! They're super comfy and can be used as water shoes if you're swimming in a lake/chilling in the sauna.
2Wow, these look comfortable ánd stylish!
3Those are so cute! I have a really old pair of Chacos that are less than feminine. I love them though. I have even been trail running in them!
4These really are the best. I LIVED in these when I spent a summer in Guatemala. They were perfect for everything from hiking volcanoes to lounging by the lake.
5And they're great for IN the lake also - they work so well on slippery wet rocks.
6I LIVE in my ZX/2's. I live in the mountains of southern Arizona, and these are the perfect shoes. I wear them literally every single day. They are so comfortable, and cute too. I can wade through the creek with my kids, hike the trails with my husband, and ride my bike in these. LOVE them!!!
7Oh my god--those are so ugly I would never wear them in my life!
8I think the point is that these shoes are most about function and comfort, not style; they aren't meant to be worn when you get dressed up all cute for your Starbucks run, ya know? (Although, you can wear them for that too) They're meant for people who are into outdoors activities.
9(Hence the FITsugar post, as opposed to Fabsugar)
10nice, but i just managed to get my order in for a pair of fitflops, they're similar to MBTs and help tone and trim your legs (apparently). while my legs have pretty much shrunk during my pregnancy i think these will be great for toning them up after my baby is born.
11Should also mention that the soles and the straps can replaced when they are worn instead of going out and buying a new pair.
