Confessing my health and fitness slip-ups to you makes me feel human again, especially after reading your confessions. I've got a new one to make . . .
Super Bowl Sunday might as well have been super food Sunday for me — and I'm not talking about the healthy variety. I went to a neighbor's house to watch the game and had the best intentions to keep the junk to a minimum. But as the marathon game went on, I kept reaching for the bad stuff and just couldn't stop.
The gooey mozzarella sticks had me at the first bite, and and I ventured onto countless saucy buffalo wings and pizza during half-time. I returned to the table multiple times during the second half for my fill of nachos and guacamole, chips and cheesy dip, and topped off the whole shebang with a big frosted cupcake. Needless to say, I had a wicked stomachache by the final whistle.
So there you have it, I've told you mine, now you tell me yours. Got anything you need to get off your chest? Share your health blunders below and I promise you'll feel better. We all are human, and we all make mistakes, and we all move on.

I ate about one million Cheetos yesterday and still have a stomach ache.
1I went to Farmer's market to buy 2 big bags of Kettle popcorn. I finished one whole bag by myself - I am talking about the "big" value bag here not the small one.
2I brought tortilla chips and queso dip to the party, but kept my eating to a minimum for the first half because I was seated too far away from the food table. Once I got a better position I had pizza bites, chips and bean dip (and my queso dip), and buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing. The only thing I was successful at limiting myself on was the desserts, I only had 3 chocolate covered pretzels.
3i had chips and onion dip yesterday, and so many cookies - maybe 5 or 6, and lots and lots of corn bread. i didn't have any beer, though, so i'm proud of myself for that!
4I had 2 chocolate chip cookies after I had a glass of wine last night. I felt like a pig.
5I am calorie counter and I just totaled my calories for yesterday.....yeah just under 4,000 calories. Looks Like this week is not going to be very fun.
6I went nuts yesterday, making clam dip, mango salsa, guacamole, and farm cakes. I had a pulled pork sandwich, who knows how much of the various dips/chips, not to mention some margaritas and some beer. And a farm cake (cupcake-sized) and some cookies. Wow.
7I had a hot dog, three chicken strips, like half a bag of cheese cubes...oh but what did it was the ranch dip i made for the celery and carrots.
8I ate all the vegetables...but that DIP is what killed it. And I had a stomachache this morning...ugh.
This wasn't Suoerbowl related (I am in Australia) but I did go to a soccer match and party after.
Lets see,
A hotdog, 2 beers and ice-cream cone at the game.
Then drinks after, some chips and the finale was Chicken burger, chips and chocolate mousse at midnight.
I felt bad the next day and self-medicated with chocolate, cookies and popcorn. Wasn't my finest hour.
9I made the mistake of baking Nutella cookies for my friend's party... I didnt eat the nutella cookies so much as I ate half the jar of Nutella by myself. Oh, along with Buffalo CHicken Pizza, stuffed mushrooms, icecream cake, and beer.... I still feel like puking.
10I bought a box of sour cream and chive crackers yesterday, and had a normal portion (about 6 crackers.) However, I ate horribly all weekend (being sick = indulging in comfort food) so I tried to get my diet on track today by eating only protein. Did great all day (egg whites for breakfast, vegetarian chili for lunch, grilled fish for dinner)...then came home and ate the entire box of crackers. Oh well, off to the gym now and there's always tomorrow!
11This weekend was not a good one health-food wise. I confess to a hot dog, potato chips, too much cheese and Popsicles.
12I feel better having typed it. Looking forward to a great week of exercising!
oh thank you for this! I ate like it was my last meal yesterday and am currently regretting it!
13brie and crackers
chips, guac and queso
chili with extra cheese
chicken fajitas
2 cupcakes
and a lot of wine and beer
YIKES!
Some friends and I made king cakes this weekend (traditional Mardi Gras desserts), and we managed to eat three of them. There's three sticks of butter in each batch of brioche, so you can imagine....soooo good though.
14My stomach hurt yesterday, too. I gave myself permission to indulge, and I think I ate two bags of tortilla chips by myself.
15I only exercised for about 40 min all of last week, good thing this is my friday.
16freakshow - did you really just call yourself a pig for having 2 chocolate chip cookies and a glass of wine? Oh man..live a little! Hardly pig-worthy.
17Haha Lo Lo, my thoughts exactly. I was wishing that had been my 'indulgence.'
18I still feel bad for the mcdonald's hamburger happy meal I had last week. I deliberately stayed away from the Super Bowl so I wouldn't over eat.
19Like an entire bag of multigrain tortilla chips. I payed for it today, my stomach has been doing flip flops.
20I ate like it was my last meal.... Buffalo wings, blue cheese burger with fries and a pitcher
21of beer! AND I DIDN'T EVEN WATCH THE GAME!!!
Since my wedding in May I've put on 10lbs, all in my stomach and hips. Now I'm working full time and going to school and havent' been able to get to the gym in 3 months. I feel like giving up on trying to exercise.
22i ate a whole little container of dove chocolate over 2 days... that's about 1000 extra calories over two days! arghhh
oh well, it's supposed to be good for your skin? lol
23I had nachos, chicken strips, french fries, 2 margaitas, and who knows how many vodka cocktails. Most of my calories came from drinkin. I had a blast though! Thanks fit for doing this. It's comforting to know that other people indulge every now and then.
24I ate a bag of frosted animal cookies in 2 days...along with a lot of fries and other bad stuff. I don't regret the cookies though. I was PMSing and they were just what I wanted.
25Hahahah yeah, Lo Lo, that was my indulgence. Maybe I wouldn't have considered it one if I hadn't already been so full from a huge dinner. And I do live a little, but I've been so good lately. It's so easy to slip off the bandwagon.
26I did not my three meals and three snacks today. And Monday was cheat day and I completely missed it.
27I've been waiting for this post!
28I was doing really well, and in the last week or so I've had about 2-3 dinners every day. I just can't stop eating. And I don't care if it's PMS, I still can't get in my jeans anymore.
i had a bagel and cream cheese BOTH mornings of the weekend this past weekend (usually i treat myself one day a weekend). I also had a car buoy (lol) of wine on friday night, and thenon saturday i had a chocholate bar. Oh and yesterday i had a half a bag of skittles
29After reading one of yesterday's post I was craving dark chocolate, so I went and got one with the intention to only have one small piece every once in a while. Yeah, right..I ate the whole thing. But I don't feel that bad about it, because it was the Endangered Species one, so at least I helped the chimpanzees
)
30I had cheese on my Subway yesterday!!! BAD ME! My bf was good and didn't even have ANY but I broke down!
31I wish that some of these cheats were mine, rather than the butter-laden cake I ate all weekend. When I fall off the wagon, I *really* fall off.
32I had some chinese food ( white rice + chicken and veggies ), fried pineapple with chopped almonds (both from my favorite chinese takeaway:) some sausages, cheese and eggs
33We ate pretty well but instead of buying premade stuff we made our own, moderately healthier versions. We made pizza bagel bites instead of getting pizza and used low fat cheese and mini bagels. We made queso with lean beef, extra salsa and onions and reduced fat cheese. We even made our own french onion dip and bought baked potato chips. So in essence we didn't eat "healthy" but we made better selections. I didn't gain a pound, in fact I lost a little so it totally paid off - AND I didn't feel deprived.
34tlsgirl- I TOTALLY understand where you are coming from! I live in BR, so I LOVE to overindulge in King Cake also!
35For the superbowl my Dad does the "Superbowl of Snacks" so I went over there. I didn't do bad, I worked out a lot that morning and didn't eat much during the day so I had a deficit of calories going in. BUT...I had...two baked taquitas (frozen food), two jalepeno poppers, 1 small frozen hamburger, a few fries (like 5) and then a small bowl of ice cream. I guess I hate more than I thought. BUT... all I drank was water! So yay me for not adding any more calories!
I guarantee i am the worst on this post!!! My boyfriend who is not a healthy eater at all insisted he wanted KFC on saturday and i gave in. I did eat there but felt horrible afterwards!! It did not stop there! I then ate a whole box of raisinets!!!!
36This weekend was terrible for me, I don't even know what happened. I went to a candy store on saturday night where you can pick all different kinds of candy and then you pay by weight, and after eating my whole bag of chocolate in two days, I worked out that it was 900g! what?! AND I bought a 500g jar of peanut butter freakin two days ago and it's all gone too! Ah and then there were bits and bites during the superbowl.. And after eating well for so long
But I guess
it's off my chest and out of my system now, and I can start over, right..?
37We had a huge snowstorm that knocked out power for 6 days from Tuesday and I didn't work out ONCE in those 6 days, citing the excuse that I couldn't since the treadmill didn't work! We ate pizza and alot of crap b/c it we had to cook over the fire and we live in the sticks so at least we didn't live on McDonalds. I also drank more alcohol than usual, but that was mostly because my parents stayed with us a few days and I needed it to stay sane!! Horrible I know. But now it's Monday and I'm back to running:) I feel better already!
38Sunday: cheese plate, three glasses of wine, chocolate cake. also had chili con queso with chips on saturday AND sunday. It was GOOD though.
39I didn't watch the game so no confessions here.
40Drank about half my weight in beer and had a few chips with guac...needless to say, most of my calories came from alcohol! Skipped exercising yesterday 'cause was too hungover, but managed to eat 2 donuts for breakfast, chicken strips and fries for lunch, and split a medium pizza, salad and a slice of cake with the bf for dinner. Today's been cereal, Clif bar and banana, plus a Bar Method class. Back at it.
41I was actually proud of myself on sunday, we had chips and guac and meatballs out and I only a couple meatballs (normally would have devoured them) and about a handful of chips with the guac.
Then we had burgers later and was really good with adding extra veggies to it.
That was the first family thing I have done in a year where I didn't gorge.
42I watched the game, but I didn't indulge in snacks so much...I had a Spotted Cow (beer) and I didn't work out on Monday.
