19These questions are faulty. Like question #5 - while interval training is the most effective type of cardio, strength training is actually more effective for fat loss. Not only does buidling muscle raise one's BMR, but your metabolism stays elevated for up to 72 hours (which it does not with HIIT).
20Please read the most serious book ever written on the subject. "Good Calories, Bad Calories" by Gary Taubes reviews the science on the topic from the last hundred years. He shows how everyone including you have been misled. The "fat mobilizing hormone" that Atkins thought was needed is low insulin brought about by a low carb diet.
Yo-yo dieting is largely due to the hard to resist stomach generated ghrelin which is generated when you restrict calorie intake. Only one in TWENTY of us can keep significant weight off by starving ourselves, but avoiding highly processed and easily digested high glycemic index foods makes weight loss easy. Of course reverting to bread and donuts and ice cream and candy will put the weight back on pretty quickly.
PLEASE read the book BEFORE you mislead more innocents. If you aren't part of the solution, then you become part of the problem. The enormous rise in obesity and diabetes are caused by this nearly universal misunderstanding about what regulates body fat gains and losses.
Understand the science. It's not that hard. To get the information for free, just google for Gary Taubes and talk or video or interview and open your mind.
