My favorite fat by far is the omega-3 fatty acids found in salmon and flax seeds among other nutritional delights. I just learned a new reason to love this fat: it decreases joint pain.
A recent study, performed by University of California, found that the fat fights inflammation, including joint pain. This news reminded me to include my fish oil supplement as part of my exercise recovery plan. The same study also found that omega-3s can increase oxygen delivery during exercise. And with happy knees, I will be able to run fast and need that oxygen increase.
If you have trouble eating salmon or tuna twice a week, try a fish oil supplement — just make sure it bears the USP verified.

One of my New Year's resolutions was to take my fish oil pills every day because I don't eat a lot of it in my diet. I can't tell if I notice a huge difference yet, but I have noticed that my muscles do seem to recover very nicely from my workouts. I've also noticed that my nails are nicer, so I'm definitely going to keep taking them!
1I take Omega Fatty 3's supplement every day
2I took fish oil for a long time and really did notice a difference in my knees. Now I'm taking Alli and so I can not take the fish oil.
3ever since i started taking omega-3 supplements, i have developed more endurance in my cardio workouts. instead of 30 minutes, i can now do 1 hour. best of all, i have taken up running which used to be a no-no because i could not last for more than 1 minute.
4what a great prize. i could really use this, i need to lose some weight, and get healthy again.
