We enter each week with the best intentions of making the healthiest eating choices and getting enough exercise, but let's face it, we're busy people with a lot on our plates! Perhaps your New Year's resolutions have given you some extra ammo for sticking to your guns, though we are only human — sometimes, we forget the salad we packed and head to the deli for something not-so-healthy, or we're tempted to choose happy hour over the gym.
Head into the weekend by taking pride in the healthy choices you did make this week. Hopefully, they'll stay with your when you're faced with the extra temptation that's a given on weekends. Share your accomplishments in the comments below!

I exercised every day this week for at least 60 minutes!
1amen, nikolem2! Good job! I did the same...so far this week I have done an hour of kickboxing and a 45 minute weight routine every day. I have also cut down on carbs, and upped the protein and vegetables! My pants feel looser, in just one week.
2I did Yoga 6 days this week so far for 70 minutes each time.
3I started my aerobics and Zumba classes this week and ate healthier- yay!
4I ate an apple every day. I kept snacking to the bare minimum. I took my pilates class which I haven't taken in weeks due to being out of town and my tummy was SORE yesterday. Felt great! And then just worked out like usual.
Oh, and I've been washing my hands like a maniac, everyone I know/work with is sick!
5I have exercised 60 minutes everyday for the last 6 days and have eaten much healthier this week than I had over the past month!
6I ran 20 miles. : )
7I work out everyday and watch what I eat
But i do that every week...
8My goal for next week is to try out more of the classes at my gym! I'm very bad at attending classes because I love to work out alone but it's good to try something new, right?
Lots of veggies!
9I've been eating oatmeal for breakfast everyday mixed with Splenda and a sprinkle of apple pie spice (SO GOOD!).
10Aside from working out every day, I made a big batch of homemade cabbage soup on Monday that I've been eating all week and I know it's a lot better for me than canned soup or other processed stuff. And since it's been -20 for the past couple of days here, I'm all about hot, yummy food for dinner!
11Respect at all of you ladies!!
I just signed up at the gym a week ago and went to one kickboxing class, 45 minutes of cardio and I just came back from my first (free) Personal Training class followed by 20 minutes on the treadmill (following the routine that FIT posted the other day - it's great!) Tomorrow I'll go to my first Zumba class, followed by Total Toning!
I also watch what I eat and I bring my lunch to work, this way I also save some money
I really hope that I will keep it up like that! It feels really good!
12Huh? You ladies are awesome. I, on the other hand, just took yoga once this week and next week is looking bad because visits are coming...:S Need some motivation!
13I made a salad for lunch every day this week! I snacked on fruits and almonds and cut back on eating before I went to bed.
14i ate well all this week, eating breakfast and not eating before bedtime. yay!
15I've started making fresh pressed vegetable juice every day! It makes me feel great and revs me up for workouts, speaking of that, just finished my juice, I need to lace em up and go out for a run!
16I made a calendar and planned out the week ahead what I was going to eat for every meal. It helps me stay on track with what I should be eating, portion control, minimal snacking, and it helps me cut down on food waste because I know if I buy it, it will be used that week!
17I started eating breakfast almost everyday, ate healthy snacks, and worked out for the past 5 out of 6 days!
18I did all my half marathon training days and encouraged my roommate to come to her first spinning class with me!!
19hit the gym 4 times this week for hour long classes, ate special k cereal bars everyday for breakfast, strawberries for snack, always chose stairs over elevators, and drank plenty of water.
20Oh I made a meal plan with a meal schedule and except when I was unable to rouse myself from bed at 8 am due to massive head pain - I adhered to it and added any additional food to it as well.
What I found is that:
1) I don't get enough calories
2) I need to have larger snacks in order to get the needed calories
3) eating the same lunch for an entire week no matter how delicious is boring as heck.
So I have to revise my meal plan for the coming week adding in calories and increasing the variety from day to day. Though I do love drinking the exact same protein fruit smoothie every day and changing that upset my chi. ;-P
21more fruit and veggies
22i started doing yoga again this week and even when i didn't have the time, I still did the sun salutations a few times. next week i will start working out at my school again. i hope to eat a lot healthier next week.
23Wow! You ladies are awesome! I increased my work out from 3 times a week to four and I increased my run from 1 mile to 2. Oh and I ate lunch from a macrobiotic restaurant 4 times this week.
24i bought the patch and attempted to quit smoking! yay!
25I started an advance dance class. We danced continuously for an hour and a half. My gosh, the next day, I was sore. My muscles were not used to the advance moves.
Also, I ate really healthy -- fruit, steamed veggies, steamed chicken breast, unsweetened soy milk, etc. Simple, healthy eating.
Oh. I received a phone call from my doctor. The lab work results from my medical physical were all normal across the board. Yes!
26i passed my driving test which allowed me to work out every day last week! I also ate under 1700 calories each day (the amount i need to eat to lose weight)!
27This is a great idea, Fit.
28I started my morning workouts just before the new year, and I'm officially in my third straight week of workouts. Morning workouts always work better for me. I think they help my metabolism wake up for the day. other than that I've been bringing my lunch every day & filling my plate with veggies for both lunch and dinner.
