My tummy starts grumbling around 3 p.m., and when it does I'm always thankful that I have healthy snacks just an arm's distance away. Keeping healthy snacks at my desk prevents me from choosing something more unhealthy to satisfy my hunger (like the treats from YumSugar that magically appear in the kitchen) and from eating everything in sight when I get home from work.
Currently, my desk drawer is holding an apple, some almonds, and a Larabar. I also brought a couple containers of nonfat Greek yogurt for the communal refrigerator. What snacks do you keep at work?

love the tips about keeping snacks..me too sometimes feeling hard to cooperate with my guts..dunno why..that's why i always keep my soy bean bar..it's de.li.cious...hahahahahahahaha
1I keep a box of multi-grain cheerio at work. It's only 110 calorie per cup.
2An apple, carrot sticks, and a Larabar - apple pie flavoured.

5Apple or orange. Pretzels (not really that healthy, I suppose).
6i keep a bowl of fruit on my desk (currently contains bananas, cuties and apples) and i keep kashi tlc chewy granola bars handy. we also have a full kitchen at the office, so i keep fruit and yogurt in the refrigerator, too.
i also really like those microwave-in-bag packages of cauliflower and broccoli. even though i tend to eat that with my lunch, in a pinch its also a healthy, easy snack.
7Soycrisps and southbeach highprotein cereal bars, i snack on them pretty much every day, so I keep a well stocked stash.
8Always an apple (well right now) whatever fruit is in season.
9Almonds, carrots, popcorn, Peanut Butter Puffins, and 2% string cheese.

12I'm trying to start eating healthier, though in a corporate office, its difficult with all the snack drawers full of chips/cookies/candy and all the birthdays/anniversarys/showers/etc.
However, at my desk, I've started keeping fruit (apple, tangerines), nuts & dried fruit (almonds, walnuts, cherries), Kashi bars and Simple Harvest oatmeal if I don't have a chance to have breakfast at home.
13i usually keep pretzels or something like that at my desk since they aren't AS bad as other things that i could be eating.
14baby carrots and yogurt in the fridge. try to have at least one of these in my desk at all times: peanut butter, walnuts, papaya chewable vitamin (actually tastes good), or an apple
15I work in construction so I cannot keep food in the trailer that pests may like. I opt for Quakers weight control oatmeal. I know its not as healthy as making it with real oats, but its warm and easy to make.
16I like to keep on hand: String Cheese, Nutrigrain Bar, Fruit, serving of nuts. (If I have a container of nuts it will be gone in an hour).
I also drink green tea ALL day and that really seems to curb my appetite.

26I keep apples and bananas, ak-mak crackers, laughing cow cheese, almonds and/or walnuts, yogurt, and frozen fruit to mix in with my yogurt.
27Wow, I'm surprised(and pleased) at all the healthy answers! I usually keep a box of shredded wheat cereal, some babybel cheeses in my fridge and Trader Joes fruit leathers. I work on a college campus though so snacks are plentiful in the many little corner stores as soon as walk out of my office! Bin candy anyone?

32Well, it's debatable how healthy some of my snacks are, but I suppose they are the more healthy of their categories. I keep wheat toasted crackers (they help w/ nausea too), Raisin Bran, carrot sticks, popcorn (mini bags), and peanut butter.
33Every Monday I stop at the grocery store on my way to work for fruit to fill the bowl I keep on my desk. This week is pears. I also keep some of those 100-calorie cookie packs so when I'm dying for chocolately goodness - I walk past the office candy dish and have one of those instead.

35I always have a Luna Bar (Chocolate Peppermint) or Kashi GoLean Crunchy bar (Chocolate Almond) handy, plus mini Babybel light cheeses, apples (or other fruit - today it's kiwi), cream of wheat and oatmeal (keep these at my desk for emergencies) and tomato soup (the microwaveable kind). I'm never tempted by the vending machine!
36I always keep an apple and a baggie of carrots and celery in the fridge and I bring an Altoids tin full of almonds in my purse (it's automatic portion control).

39For myself, almonds, Fiber One bars, and Muscle Milk lights in the little fridge! BUT it's my job to stock the dept snack area, so I've been getting healthy things and everyone is happy: almonds, 100 calorie packs, dried fruit, and pretzels. No more Oreos and peanut butter crackers!
