Looking for tasty sources of soy since it is beneficial to our bodies? Soy contains antioxidant compounds that may reduce the risk of osteoporosis, kidney disease, and certain cancers such as breast and ovarian. Plus the phytoestrogens in soy may provide relief from the negative effects of menopause (good to know for later).
The FDA recommends 25g of soy protein a day to help lower cholesterol levels and the risk of heart disease. This O'Soy yogurt made by Stonyfield Farms offers 7g of soy protein per 6 oz cup. It's also dairy and cholesterol free. Plus just like in regular cow's milk yogurt, O'Soy has calcium and 6 live active cultures.

Holy cats that's a lotta sugar. But 4g of fiber is pretty cool! I don't get any fiber from the dannon yogurt I eat now!
1I'm cool with the idea of soy yogurt, and buying it at the store, but when I swallow that first spoonful I just can't go on. Anyone found any honestly tasty soy yogurts?
2i love stonyfield organics. i'll definitely try this - in two years when it's finally avaibable in alaska! lol
3This O'Soy tastes the closet to regular yogurt (IMO). It's not going to taste exactly like cow's milk yogurt, but it's stil pretty good.
4... I don't know - that sugar's scairing me away and like superfoxml, I never really liked the taste of soy yogurt
On the other hand, combatting the "negative effects of menopause" is good for me to know right now. What's a girl to do
5I really love the Whole Soy Yogurt in raspberry and strawberry. I think it tastes as good as real yogurt. I don't like O'Soy, because they put really gooey fruit at the bottom of the cup.
6No soy anything for this girl, it's a major migraine trigger. It can also be hard to digest if you have IBS.
7I think I'll go for the Whole Soy. I actually DON'T like the tangy taste of regular yogurt.
8I love fitsugar, but one thing that really drives me insane is that you are all sooooooo pro soy! Call me crazy, but while soy may allegedly reduce breast cancer, it increases the incidence of thyroid cancer. There are many dangers to soy. I would like to please encourage you all to read about the soy industry, the history of soy, soy marketing... etc.
Just google "soy mercola" to get a VERY interesting read on all this stuff.
9So to be totally anti-this-post, I LOVE PROBIOTICS! Anyone drink Kefir or any other probiotic? If so what is your favorite? I like Lifeway Pomegranate probiotic. So tasty!
10I agree with Miss Aretha. There are drawbacks to soy, for various reasons, and it's not always connected to soy. It is an industry and you need to take a look at your own history to see if large (or any quantities of soy are right for you). Then pick your amount and go from there.
