After seeing photos of Jessica Alba's rockin' body just two months after she gave birth, Tori Spelling's initial reaction was disbelief that she, too, would be able to quickly bounce back to her pre-pregnancy weight. Tori had gained 50 pounds during her second pregnancy, and after giving birth just six months ago, the mother of two is sporting a teeny bikini in In Touch magazine.
Six months is longer than the time it took Jessica Alba to shed her baby weight, but losing weight is not a race. This is the mentality that enabled Tori to lose weight healthfully and at her own pace. Here are the highlights from Tori's In Touch bikini feature.
Her diet: While losing weight, Tori didn't count calories but watched what she ate. She said, "Breakfast was yogurt, fruit and nuts. Lunch was homemade soup with a sweet potato or soy milk base. We'd snack on celery and peanut butter, and then I'd make lean protein with vegetables for dinner." Her maintenance plan involves three well-balanced meals each day with snacks in between, and she'll indulge on her cheat days.

Her workouts: Tori said, "For me to go to the gym and leave my kids doesn't make sense." She walks with her family and takes her family swimming when weather permits. For toning, she does three sets of 12 crunches and sit-ups every day, does squats, and lifts weights.
Tori is proud that she achieved her goal weight on her own and said, "I'm a working mom of two, so to know that I did it all by myself was huge." Props to her for confidently doing things her own way.

Wow, good for her. I love that she lost it slowly and without a trainer/chef.
1It's so good to now that she did it all her self. It can inspire woman. When you have a baby you can look fit again.
2It's nice to know celebs can do it the 'normal' way too! I could look like most of the others with a trainer and personal chef, but tori is really inspiring with what she did.
3good for her!
4I love her!!! She looks great and I am sure she is a great momma
5honestly, i find it really hard to believe that she got her body back from light exercise alone. i hate to be a naysayer, and good for her for working to get the body back and it sounds like she's eating well, but i've also seen her at the gym i go to and NOBODY gets results from exercise that light.
6I really don't think she got results like that from 3 sets of basic exercises per day. She forgot to mention the treadmill she keeps at home or something.
SERIOUSLY we are not stupid.
7money can buy you anything, including a chef, trainer, and a a tummy tuck
8she's always managed to do a great job in getting back into her little body - so this is one of those examples of how if you are able to stay motivated then you can do it!
9Personally I think it sounds like she is eating really, really light. Looking at her, she doesn't look like she has much muscle tone, so I believe her that she lost it without much exercise.
10Her diet definitely sounds a bit on the "light" side. "Lean protein and vegetables" is code for a sliver of fish and two pieces of broccoli and "celery sticks and peanut butter" means mostly celery and maybe 1/2 teaspoon of P.B. Seriously, celebrities must think people are stupid or totally clueless when they talk about how they eat and work out.
So, more realistically, Tori starved herself and did 10 pushups a day to lose the baby weight. And possibly had a "mommy makeover" to boot.
11Maybe, just maybe she is one of those with good genes...
12but how do I get her horrible boob job?
13Honestly I think she has good genes... I could be wrong though.
14Oh and I watched her (horrible) reality show a couple of times. She has a treadmill... so obviously shes lying about the exercise. Of course you're going to lose that weight in no time when you're only eating fruit, veggies and lean protein.
That dress is super flattering. This photo is the best I've seen her look.
And she only said she didn't go to the gym, not that she didn't work out at home....
15guess i'm just gonna say it for opinion's sake: i don't like her, i think she's manly, and i don't care what her exercise routine is. no offense to the people that do.. i prob should have just skipped this one over, lol.
i'll second that, runningesq.
16I am three months post-partum and have lost all my pregnancy weight. Just by breastfeeding, eating healthy (limiting ice cream, deserts, pasta, and white bread), and walking on the treadmill three times a week. Sure, I don't have a six-pack - but I could if I worked harder at it. Don't assume someone is lying just because they do something that may seem unlikely to you. Besides, it's not that big of a deal to get back in shape 6 months after giving birth - especially for someone who was in good shape to begin with.
17Hockey Princess, I totally agree with you. I lost all my baby weight in two months by walking outdoors every day, breastfeeding and eating healthy - but breastfeeding makes you hungry, so I always ate as much as`I felt like, just avoiding non-healthy options. I have a naturally tones body from years of working out so even if I have not been to the gym since my baby was born, my tummy is flatter than ever and I have not put on an ounce even if I am in the second trimester of my second pregnancy right now....
18It really can be that easy to lose the weight. I was back pre-pregnancy by 5 months and I was smaller than pre-pregnancy by 9 months and I wasn't working out really at all. I did start doing Pilates and that toned me up, but all I was doing prior to that was eating right, walking and chasing my kid. She has two under two, believe me when I say that when she's not working out, she's still working out. Kids are crazy calorie burners.
Oh and genes help too. Thanks, mom!
19wow, she looks great!
20I admire her willpower- it's the dieting that sucks!
