I always begin December with the best intentions. I will work out, eat well, avoid overindulging, and get enough sleep no matter how full my schedule becomes. By this last week of the month, it becomes clear that I have had to make some compromises in my healthy routine. Maybe you have too? This year, with Christmas falling on a Thursday, many of us have had four or more days off. With all those days of relaxing and chilling out, Sunday is the day to reclaim your fitness life. I often consider Sunday a rest day, and if I do anything physical it is yard work or something family-oriented like hiking. Today, though, to get back on track, not just from a weekend but a whole month of brushing exercise aside, I am going on a long, slow meditative run. Jumpstart your last week of 2008 with a long Sunday workout. Be sure to pack your gym bag for tomorrow too.

I will be back on track on the 5th January. Until then! It is rest time.
1I'm going to be pushing a wheelchair with a friend twice my weight in it this week though...
I totally fell off the gym wagon in December; with parties and an increased workload heading in to the holidays, even though I packed my gym bag, I wasn't able to motivate and make it to the gym.
Over the holidays though, I renewed my commitment to regular exercise and hit the gym on the 26th, and today.
I joined a ball hockey team that plays weekly, and our new season begins in mid-January, so even though I feel like being lazy, I know I must keep up my fitness for the team.
2sigh* i haven't worked out regally seance sep !
3I'm So out of shape @_@
I wish I had read this a couple of hours ago... I didn't to a thing today besides hanging out on my couch. Which was bliss.
4I did yoga this morning and feel great! Now I hope I am back on track with finals and the holidays behind me, time to work extra hard on my health
5Just got back in from a run.
6I didn't get much of a break...I had to work the day after Christmas, this weekend, and tomorrow as well. I took the day off on Christmas from working out, but otherwise I've been doing very well with keeping on track.
7Today was a great day for it too! 75 degrees here in VA. I played a lot of tennis though when I went home. My family is real hard core about that. My arm is sore now.
8I ran 10 mi today, but it was a crappy run
and every run can't be the best-run-ever, right?
9still, got it done
I did some biking and strength training... but not much lol. I am sooo tired and lazy and have been for the past week! This is why I usually workout regularly... if I get off track, I feel totally out of shape. I think what I really need is to stretch... and get back to a clean diet (no more snacking on sweets anymore). Thanks for this post Fit, I bookmarked it
10I ran today. It was about 55 degrees and dreary. So glad I went!
11I went to yoga. I'm disappointed that I didn' thit the treadmill, but I'm getting over a cold.
12Tomorrow is back to running day.
I had a rough month of December in the eating right and exercise departments. As of this past Saturday (12/27), I am recommitted and feeling really good about it. I went for a run to enjoy the nice weather and it's back to the gym tonight. Sunday was just housework, but I tried not to just sit around too much.
