Retails sales are down this holiday season, so the headlines keep telling us tell us. Shoppers have been working with tight gift budgets this year. This spending decrease means that expensive gadgets, even health-promoting fitness ones, were less likely to appear under the tree. There are a lot of fitness junkies on my gift list, so while I gave no heart rate monitors or bike computers this year, I want to know if you received a groovy fitness gadget or any fitness gift for that matter. So tell me . . .

Well, I got a whole bunch of Kohl's gift cards that I'm going to use to buy new shoes and some new workout clothes.
1My Christmas present to myself was a Nordictrack AudioStrider 800 elliptical machine. It going to help me get through all of those cold winter days when I can't run outside.

3My parents bought me a digital watch. It's nothing special though, just a plain old Timex. I'll probably buy an iPod Shuffle soon though, and maybe some new clothes.

5I really want the Tracey Anderson work out DVD's though. I will gift them to myself!
Got a renewed gym membership-- an absolute must for me to get through winter without catching the blahs!

I could have really used a gym membership though, ha ha.

9My fiance gave me new boxing gloves and installed a punching bag for me at home!
10I got an ipod armband if that counts. But I'm taking the money I got and am going to go buy new shoes! and possibly use some of the money to buy a pass for all the group classes at the gym.
11Ipod Touch and $50 Itunes credit to download various fitness apps (and a game or two of course)

23no fitness gear whatsoever. however with the cash i received, i plan on enrolling in pilates classes.
24I got some dumbbells for when I can't get to the gym.
25I guess really wii fit, running shoes and cold weather running gear, though to be truthful I picked up the running shoes and other running stuff for myself b/c it was a great sale, but still.

29a friend got me a victoria's secret sports bra (i told her she should "get me a sports bra" at one point haha i guess she listened) and my brother got me running shorts. great because i'm going away to college in two weeks and plan on utilizing the fitness center to the max
30My husband got me a wii fit, it's awesome! He's like 6'3" & slim...thinks that he's super fit, and his wii fit age was 50! Mine was 29...he's mad...it's the greatest present ever!

32A Wii Fit! Although not quite a treadmill (someday!), it has proven to be fun and a little bit of a workout as well.
33I got my Chalean Extreme workout kit + I'm going to get some resistance bands to go with...too bad I can't afford Bowflex SelecTech dumbbells...
34sadly this year i didn't get anything health related for the holiday, but last year i got my nike+ thing to put into my ipod.
