There's no denying my love for my daily, delicious, hot cup of coffee. While it's my habit to drink coffee in the morning and have green tea later in the day for a pick-me-up, others tend to get their caffeine fix right before a workout since caffeine can improve performance and increase endurance. Do you use caffeine to boost your energy before exercising?

Always. I'm drinking some right now to gear up for the treadmill! I find a significant difference in my endurance when I have a big cup of coffee beforehand.
Yes! Always! it makes me feel like I can go on forever
i usually have a lo carb/lo cal monster before our capoeira class.. just seems to get me ready
No, I rarely drink caffeine as it is. Only the very rare soft drink or energy drink. Any tea I drink is caffeine free and I no longer drink coffee.
Stimulants definitely do not do good things to my body when combined with increased heart rate.
I stay away from pre-workout caffeine; I'm prone to "crashes" in blood sugar/energy when I burn off a coffee too quickly and will get very dizzy and faint. I usually have a big glass of Emergen-C Joint Health before I work out.
I usually just drink some water before a workout. Bo-ring! :0)
No, i don't. I just take a b-complex vitamin about 1 hour before i work out or drink some EmergenC.
I must drink water before a workout - rehydration keeps me from feeling sluggish and I do feel more energized.
i don't think that i usually eat or drink anything before i work out - but i could be forgetting. i do know that i don't go out of my way to have caffeine though
caffeine = ew. The stuff makes me jittery. I never drink it.
I definitely do and I notice a big difference. I have the energy to push myself further. I either have green tea or coffee or if I really want to amp it up, I'll do that combined with Thermogenic tablets from GNC. Talk about Sweat City!
NEVER having caffeine in my system is like running up a mountain and falling off I hate that feeling. If I drank it before a workout my heart would probably beat out of my chest.
Sometimes. If I'm working out before my early shift at work, I'll down a Diet Coke before my workout so I'm awake for it. If I work out during my lunch break, I don't have time to drink anything beforehand. It's not like it's essential for my workout, but it does help with the endurance.
I usually go to the gym in the morning after getting the kids ready and dropping them off at school. So for me to have no coffee in my system with so much to do is just plain dangerous! I always have a bit of coffee before leaving the house. Otherwise I feel like I'm in a complete fog!
