Everyone is always asking me what Jessica Alba's secret is. Girls I wish I knew, but I do have a little insight for you. Jessica has been spotted hobnobbing with other celebs at the Revlon Run/Walk for Breast Cancer, which shows that girl is staying active (and even doing it for charity). I like that...

Aside from burning calories through her own "ACT"ivism, InTouch (May 28th, 2007 issue) got the scoop from her trainer Ramona Braganza on what else she is doing to cut down on the calories:
- "Her secret is portion control," says Braganza. "She likes to have dinner out, but will only eat half of the food on the plate."
- A pro in the kitchen, Jessica loves to cook dishes like egg-white omelets, salads, healthy enchiladas and waffles - and drinks two to three liters of water a day.
- Jessica does cardio religiously (on the elliptical, stationary bike or treadmill for 30 minutes, four times a week). But when she's preparing for an action role, she'll likely add weights and yoga to tone up. "I like circuit training," she tells InTouch, because it keeps her from getting bored.

You know what? One of my friends, who is super super thina nd always has been, and i went out to lunch at panera one day. she only ate half of her half sandwhich, and about half of her soup. I was starving and ate all of mine of course, but I would love to do this eventually-only eat half the food on my plate when at a restaurant. I find it difficult, knowing that, esp if it was expensive, i paid my money, which is hard earned and stretched thin, to only eat half of what i paid for.
I tend to pick at what is left while talking to whomever i am with, or taking it home and eating it later. One way i am curbing this is taht i just odn't eat out anymore. once or twice a month, but that is it. that has helped me lsoe wieght. but i have an upcoming vacation, on a cruise, where food will be filling and plentiful, and am going to try and learn some of this discipline before i go.
1I'm the opposite - if it's expensive I only want to eat half! Then it's like I have to meals for the price of one because I take the rest home for another day (and I dont have to cook!).
I definitely agree with the picking at my food comment. I am trying to be better about it by being conscious . . . . Ill try to put my fork down or have a glass of water in my hand. That way Im more likely to sip than munch! haha. But Im still really bad with that.
And I remember when Jessica Alba hosted the Mtv Movie Awards they had all these facts on her and it said that she does Tae Bo. I remember because I thought about buying a video after I saw that.
2What I try to do when I am out to eat is this... The waiter brings the food, then leaves. He/She usually comes back about 5-10 minutes later to check up on you. That's when I ask for the to-go box. By the time he brings it back, I've eaten maybe like 1/2 or 1/3 of the food. Works good.
Or, if you're at a place like Panera, where they ask for here or to go, say to go but also ask for a box or paper bag or something, that way you eat half then just throw the rest in the box.
3for a long time I was never able to eat all the food I got at restaraunts. Sometimes now I can, though thankfully still not often. Gotta watch it though.
But Healthy Enchiladas? Does such a thing exist? Somebody let me in on this secret! I love enchiladas but I've never ever ever thought of them as possibly healthy
4God, she has a fantastic body. I definitely notice a difference when I am exercising portion control, but exercising anything else takes an extreme amount of motivation for me!
5She looks great & so does Sheryl Crow! I think Tae Bo is an awesome workout and definitely worth the try pixelhaze! I ♥ workouts with Billy Blanks!
6I think that first and foremost she is a naturally thin person; adding workout just makes it all more greater... And Cravinsugar, I'm with you in this, I just can't imagine leaving half the plate untouched...
7There's a new article about her diet or workout plan every few weeks and it's never the same.
8I have read that a lot of people in her family are heavy and that she avoided that at an earlier age(I think I read 12 or 13 years old), by cooking for herself, and of course watching what she ate and exercising.
9One of my Korean friends worked with Jessica Alba making the Isa Knox commercial (google it)....Korea's crazy about her. Well anyways, he was not a big fan of her and he claims that she only ate little packets of red jelly the entire day. He's an honest guy and I'm going to take his word for it.
10eat half, then save 1/2 for lunch tomorrow... although often easier said then done....
11I don't know about you guys, but I can't eat in portions. What I do is I skip breakfast, but I will eat a hearty lunch. I will eat a cookie before I workout for much needed energy, then I'd eat nesvita and some vegetables for dinner.
Others might not agree with me, but I have kept off the way for the longest time. I am only working out so to tone my muscles
12isn't she still battling with anorexia tendencies? (she always look great though, damit! lol..)
I find eating lots of fibery foods is the best way maintain "the body"... keeps your tummy feeling flat and de bloated!
13I love jessica shes amazing shes 5'7 and skinny and hot but hopefully shes cured and over her anorexia hope shes doing good :]
14waaah... she is really something... but I like the way my body looks,, except sometimes when am really over the limits...
15Jessica has anorexia.
