For some of you, one of your New Year's resolutions may be to try yoga. Aside from the motivation to go to class, you'll also need your very own yoga mat.
While looking for a mat, you may realize that they have one thing in common — they're all one solid boring color. So if you want a mat with a little more pizzazz, check out Devi mats. They have eight nature-inspired designs that feel like you're practicing on a life-size photograph or painting. I have the Earth Mat and I love the tacky surface that prevents my hands and feet from slipping. It's 1/4-inch thick, so it's lightweight and can be used for yoga and strength-training exercises.
As soon as I stepped on my mat for the first time, I felt a renewed sense of happiness and energy that I never felt with my plain-Jane Black Mat. They're on sale for $100, marked down from $120, which I know still seems pricey. But if this mat inspires you to practice yoga, then it's totally worth it.

no way. i thought 30$ was a lot for my mat...
1Those are some gorgeous yoga mats. I didn't think I'd ever be using "gorgeous" to describe a yoga mat. Steep price though, I could buy a lot of really cute new yoga clothes for the same amount.
2Ouch! I'd never spend that much on a yoga mat. While they are pretty, MissKacie is right- you could get tons of other gear for the cost of this mat.
3CUTE MAT..But out of my budget
4So pretty! Maybe I can put it on my wish list if I reach some fitness goals.
5That is one cool yoga mat!
6oops.. meant the one posted (the tree).....
7A girl at my studio has the grey and lime green one - it's gorgeous! I've been meaning to ask her where she got it, but now I know. I'm sure that you guys know designer mats like this go well over $100. I think this is a steal and will definitely be a birthday present to myself. They are all so unique looking.
8They're beautiful!!! I especially loved the one with Aurora Borelis!
9Lovely!
i didnt realise yoga was about having "designer" mats...
10i think that's kind of against the whole natural yoga meditation lifestyle...
I think some of them look nice. But I would not pay out the behind for one of them. It's just a yoga mat. I would purchase one of these at a proper price.
11Pretty, but I'd never spend $100 on a yoga mat. Sorry.
12I like the Earth one and the Northern Lights one. But like many of you have already stated - no way would I spend $100 on a yoga mat.
13This mat is stunning! I'm always on the look out for unique finds, thats the kind of stuff thats totally worth spending more on. I haven't found an interesting mat yet thats under $70, all the cheap ones look and feel cheap. I love these mats and think their totally worth the price tag!
14I bought the northern lights mat from a guy at runyon canyon and then my Dad saw it so I had to buy him one for Christmas. I've spent more on snowboard goggles so I don't know why everybody's hating on the price since a mat is the only thing you need for yoga.
15I can't tell you just how stunning my Earth mat is and for the price, I consider it a steal. I actually have it hanging in my room and it looks like a piece of art. I love beautiful and functional things and quite frankly, this mat epitomizes that combination. I could go on and on about the quality but you should find out for yourself!
16I'm with dduane, I've spent well over $100 on equipment and gear for every other sport I've ever done, why is yoga any different. If you want high quality gear, you have to pay for it. If you want cheap gear then you'll get cheap gear. I have the wind mat and I LOVE IT and so does everyone else who has seen it or felt it. KEEP MAKING AWESOME MATS DEVI and I'll keep buying them!
