Here's a little bit of information that should help get you to the gym and onto the treadmill. Exercising decreases your appetite, and cardio does this more than lifting weights. In a small study, running for 60 minutes released two types of appetite controlling hormones, where lifting weights for 90 minutes only released one such hormone. The participants who ran actually ate less as well; their stomachs seconded the hormonal discovery. Hopefully this news will help you squeeze in some kind of workout into your hectic schedule.

Yeah, I'm not hungry for at LEAST an hour or two after I work out. I always work out, then I shower and get to work and I don't eat breakfast until I've been at work for at least a couple of hours.

3How come I feel different? I have a light breakfast (a piece of bread with Peanut Butter, and coffee), then I workout for 2 hours. The first thing that I go home is to have my "2nd" breakfast. And I still feel hungry after that, I normally have my lunch around 11:30 because I was very hungry.
4My stomach will sometimes growl while I run, since I can't eat before I run. And then I after I'm done I am not hungry at all. But I eat anyway since I need the fuel, and I was obviously hungry before.
FIT SUGAR: It might be best to use caution when posting subject like this. After running, a person needs to refuel and shouldn't use running as a way to fight hunger and starve themselves. I'm not sure that I read about the importance of refueling after a 60 minute run (mentioned). I you have posted about the importance of this, and I think that it would be an important point to bring up on a post like this!
5lydia i am totally with you. I become insatiably hungry when I am training for something and getting a lot more exercise. For the last 2 weeks I have been injured and have only worked out once and I have had no appetite.
6Running may curb my appetite in the very short term, but overall I'm definitely hungrier the more I exercise.

man, why am i so different? i am ravenous after i exercise... the more i exercise, the more i eat... and i already eat a lot :|
9I'm usually very hungry and want to eat after I workout.
10Yeah this might be true for shorter workouts, but not if you are a longer distance runner, for instance...

12I usually am hungry while im working out, not hungry at all on the drive home (like almost naesous) then STARVING! then i eat and am happy, yay!
13I'm always starving after I get outta the pool. Did they look at any forms of cardio other than running?
14I did notice that I wasnt as hungry as I thought I would be after working out (always a combo of weights and cardio), good to know there is an actual reason for it.
15I'm ravenous after cardio - that's a big part of why I don't like it! When I first started working out I would feel nauseated after, but after a couple of hours the hunger would kick in. Now it's pretty much immediate hunger.
16well that's just another reason that i'm going to keep working out more and more - and focus on cardio since it seems like that's the one that keeps you from getting hungry more. i love that there are always more and more studies coming out that show you why working out and being healthy are important.
i feel like back 'in the day' no one really knew as much about hormones and genetics and what can be preventative and we're just living in an era now where this stuff is all key and the more you know, the better you can affect your life
