Ugh. "The thing about yoga is I can tone up without bulking up." Blah blah blah. My arms have never looked mannish or bulky from lifting weights. I HATE this line.
1Yeah, mine haven't gotten all bulky either. But then, I sometimes take that column with a grain of salt because despite her good intentions, there are some really obsessive behaviors she seems to indulge in.
As for cereal, I'm always shocked by how much it costs! I've been looking for whatever's on sale, and choosing the highest fiber/lowest sugar alternative out of that group. It's kind of annoying.
2Yeah, breakfast cereal has to be one of THE biggest ripoffs at the store. This is why I shop at Aldi, where all of their cereals are under $2 a box. I don't buy brand name cereal because for the most part, you're buying the advertising.
mondaymoos--I hate when people say "tone up without bulking up" too. Seriously, I lift some pretty big weights and I am a small 105-lb woman. I don't think my arms look manly at all.
3I love Aldi! I just discovered that there's one about 15 minutes away from my house, and their prices are SO much better.
