Sometimes it's tough to pick out the right gift for that special someone. In those cases, a gift card is a great option, especially as a stocking stuffer. It lets the gifted know you're thinking of them but allows them to pick out something they really want or need. But you still want to encourage the people on your list to live healthy lifestyles, right? Here are some gift cards that will do just that.
- Patagonia: Great technical clothes for active people, from wicking underwear and warm Capilene tops to windproof fleece jackets.
- iTunes: The recipient can buy individual songs, albums, or workout playlists to help motivate her while she exercises.

- Whole Foods: Not only does this store have terrific organic produce and fresh baked whole grain breads, but it's also a great place to pick up supplements and natural beauty products.
- EMS: The recipient can choose between outdoor clothes, shoes, climbing gear, skis, camping gear, and much more.
- The North Face: A leader in outdoor clothing, this brand also has gear such as tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and anything you'd need for your next outdoor adventure.
- REI: Perfect for everything from clothes and outdoor gear to gifts for active pet and neat gadgets such as heart rate monitors and two-way radios.
- Nike: Great sneakers, clothes, and equipment for the active person.

I hate, hate, hate Nike. A company that considers dog fighting to be an edgy image to incorporate into their advertising method is a company that does not/will not get my money. Just sayin.
1I really like the idea of a fitness/healthiness-geared gift card though.
i think that gift cards are often the best way to go. when you're shopping for someone who likes to work out often, they sometimes have really really picky preferences on gear, and it's not always the best thing to do to buy them something. for me, i would appreciate the thought in shoes, clothes etc, but i'm very picky about what i wear when i'm active and i wouldn't want to hurt someone's feelings, so gift cards are really smart.
2rei is a great way to go, especially if you have a friend who is perhaps heading to the grand canyons soon or simply loves the outdoors. i got a gift card there last year and indulged myself with a jacket, some shirts and a pair of shoes.
the shoes, i am somewhat ashamed to say
are crocs....and if there is anyone who has
to deal with communal bathrooms like i do for college, they are heaven! you just slip them on & they're shower slippers to the extreme~ just saying, crocs shouldnt get too foul of a
