We all have a go-to cardio activity that we crave not only because it's enjoyable, but also because it energizes us and helps us burn major calories. I've been talking a lot about the Best of 2008, so tell me, which form of cardio should receive this title?

Calida
Adidas

why is the evil elliptical machine considered a form of running?
I was thinking the SAME thing, javs! elliptical does not equal running.
I would pick swimming but running is less expensive because I just need the running shoes, whereas swimming I would need to get a membership to the pool.
Running, but outdoor running for me (even in bad weather). And yeah, elliptical is so not the same as running.
the arc trainer is definately the best machine at the gym!
would Spinning count at biking?
In the gym I love the eliptical but when the weather is nice I prefer walking out doors. It's great exercise and it gets you places.
I picked running but it's a tie betweeen swimming and running.
If only the triathlon would make the swim longer and the bike shorter
I would love to swim, but no access to a pool. I can't run... I've tried so many times, but I just want to cut my knees out when I'm done. So walking is my cardio... outside in the summer, treadmill in the winter.
my fav is the elliptical machine - i use it every day and it gives me such a great work out.
Elliptical.
Love it.
I take an awesome Turbokick class at my gym, its like taebo on crack I love it!
Spinning!
If I take this survey 2 years ago, my answer will be swimming. I started to run last July and hooked on to it after that. Since July of last year, I had 2-10K run, 2-half marathon, and 4-full marathon. I run more than I swim now.
Yeah where is spinning for an option? I went with biking...
Running, but definitely outdoors. It's the only exercise that can consistently stave off gym boredom.
elliptical
Yes, I would consider spinning a form of biking.
I like running, but in the winter when there's a ton of snow and it's cold, I like the elliptical. I also like biking, but only outdoors...I'm not a fan of the stationary bike.
Skiing is my favorite, but I dont get to do it as much as I would want....So I use the treadmill for my everyday cardio.
For the first time in my life it's "playing sports" for me. A bunch of friends formed an ultimate frisbee team and after some deliberation (I hate most team sports), I joined. Great decision. It's the only way I can force myself to run and it's a lot of fun.
These days, jogging. Love it.
I run quite a bit but I also jump rope several times a week. I like working on speed and footwork.
I like playing hockey/ice skating, or rollerblading when I can't get to ice. I also love to go rock climbing and hiking. Usually I just head to the gym though for my regular workout because it's convenient.
everyday - 2 hrs - elliptical trainer
ohmygod, Gia -- HOW?! don't you get super bored??
