Tea drinking in the US is on the rise. Which is not surprising considering that the health benefits of the drink, especially green tea, make the headlines almost weekly. It is holiday time and if you have a serious tea drinker in your life, be they a parent, a friend, or a co-worker here are a few gift ideas for the special tea drinker in your life.
- Electric Tea Kettle: A good electric tea kettle can heat up water faster than a microwave making it possible to brew tea anywhere with an outlet — perfect for a dorm room or an office.
- Peet's Tea Sampler: A variety of teas are always appreciated. This sampler features loose tea in three distinct brews: Irish Breakfast, Yunnan Fancy, and Jasmine Fancy. All the flavors are delightful.
- Tea Strainer with Cup: Using loose tea is the best way to brew tea, but it does require a strainer and a serious tea drinker can never have enough strainers. This one comes with its own cup to hold the used strainer so you don't need a separate saucer.

I love my electric kettle, I can't live without now. I make coffee or tea with it everyday.
1a gift certificate to Teavana would be a good gift too
2I was hoping there would be a little more to the list. My friend who lives in Colombia is coming home for the holidays and she loves hot tea, so I've been trying to think of a good gift. It needs to be something she can pack easily. I'll probably just get her a variety of tea bags from Starbucks since I don't think she has one there.
3Why Starbucks? I am a tea lover too, and this is what I am getting for a few like-minded friends of mine: http://www.twoleavesandabud.com/p_Tea-on-the-go--22.html. Ok, i know i am being a bit biased, because this is a local company that happens to be located about 1/2 from my place but this set of "tea on the go" is not only adorable, their tea are amazing and not totally out of price! (plus easy to order online).
