Christmas is synonymous with so many things, one of them being cookies. Can you imagine Christmas without cookies? Well, now you can imagine a cookie that is relatively guilt-free. I saw a cookie recipe while flipping through the December issue of Self that I had to try: Flourless Chocolate-Walnut Cookies. As you can see by the photo, they look tasty. So I whipped up a batch. To see how these cookies turned out and if mine look as presentable as the ones in the magazine, read more.
These cookies are great and tasted a lot like brownies. The walnuts, aside from providing some healthy omega-3 fatty acids, give the cookies a rich flavor. They may not be the most attractive cookies, but my dinner guests, both kids and parents alike, loved them too.

For only 55 calories a cookie, these cookies are a guilt-free pleasure, plus they're easy to make. I didn't even have to get out my electric hand mixer. Like most baking, the secret is to use really good chocolate. I used a mixture of Valrhona and Green and Black's. I think these would be a perfect dessert for any holiday party or cookie exchange.

1Wow, I actually have all of those ingredients in my fridge right now! These look good but it reminds me that I've been wanting to try this Black Bean brownie recipe. I can't remember how I found it, might have been on fit or Yumsugar or somewhere else:

i made these and they are pretty good...they taste interesting and not like a traditional cookie, but they become pretty addicting
3I saw these and thought they looked delicious...maybe I'll make these for Christmas so I can have a guilt-free dessert
4Yay! Guilt free cookies. Going to bake these up this weekend and see what my family thinks. thanks fit!
5i saw this recipe and tried it, but scaled down the recipe to individual servings since i live by myself. After trying it, i have made these every single night since then!!! haha..for the individual cookies, i used:
61 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
2 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 tablespoon stevia powder
splash of vanilla
tablespoon of walnuts
3 cups of powdered sugar???!! That doesn't seem very healthy to me...
7I actually tore this one out! I think I might make them on Sunday. Yummmmmm!
8I saw this recipe in the mag and I definitely want to try it. Half my family's on a diet and will appreciate "guilt free" cookies!
9I might try these. I very rarely eat sweets, but when I do, it's chocolate!
10These look tasty!
11Laurmigs,
12That sounds like an AWFUL huge amount of stevia...RU SURE??? Your individual recipe sounds like a recipe for disaster!!!--Everyone knows with stevia, a dab will do ya!
