Lately we've been seeing Fergie taking her runs and workouts outdoors, which is cool. I like to see a celebrity exercising outdoors. I am chuckling about her giant headphones, but what's with that crazy belt?

Fergie is sporting a 6-Bottle Terminator FuelBelt by FuelBelt ($32.26). While she has the 6-bottle (7 oz flasks), you can get also them in 2-8 bottle sizes as well. Typically people use these sort of belts when they are training for an endurance event like a marathon. You can fill a few flasks with water and a few with gels if you want.
It doesn't really look as though Fergie is training for a marathon (maybe a walk-a-thon), but I could be wrong. She could also just be really, really thirsty. My guess, however, is that Fergie's trainer is having her wear one for added weight (similar to a weighted vest) during her walks -- This way she is killing two birds with one stone, a few added pounds and thirst quencher (or fuel boost). You can do the same, so buy it from GotBody.com.

I saw a co-runner wearing this during a half marathon and thought it was an interesting concept. I'm not sure if I would like it. Would take some getting used to.
1Fergie is...well...different!
2I wear my fuel belt on my long run days when training for a marathon. When all bottles are filled up, the entire belt is weighted down. Don't know why she's been wearing one (it can be uncomfortable), maybe for added resistance, but it doesn't do anything to help the waistline. The little pouch is great for holding your keys and or id.

Fit, She looks ridiculous!
4The name is so silly! I didn't actually think that was the real name. I thought you made it up Fit!
@ Terminator Fuelbelt. I don't know... it looks kinda uncomfortable, especially if your running with it around your waste!

6I think it's a good idea, the weight would be evenly distributed too.
7Dang! I don't even drink that much water in a day! (Granted I should, but I'm just never thirsty!)
8I tried one of those, but the darn thing stuck out too much, so I was having to hold my arms out farther from my sides to avoid banging the inside of my elbows against it with every stride, and the holding-out-of-my-arms really wore out my poor neck & shoulders.
I returned it the next day & now use a one-large-bottle belt where the bottle goes in the back. Much better.
I'm pretty tall (5'11") & do drink a lot of water, but this one-bottle solution works just fine for me on my hour-long runs. On the 2-hour-long runs, I have to stop in at a Subway or McDonalds to refill. Hope this helps those who are thinking of different hydration ideas.

9Thanks for the review, murdock. I think you answered my questions. I can see something like this being better for bike riding then for running. Less cumbersome.
10I have a fuel belt like this, and I absolutely love it! I drink A LOT of water (over a gallon a day) and run 6-10 miles per day. It's great on long runs because I put water in a couple, and a sports drink in the rest. The pocket holds my cell phone (in case of emergencies!), my key, and a gel or two. It's very elastic-y, so I wear it low and snug on my hips. I am sure that I look like a total dork, but when it's 100 degrees out and I have no other access to water, it's a godsend!
