Thanksgiving is almost here and I'm so excited to get together with my family and enjoy all the scrumptious foods. I definitely have some favorites I'll be saving room for. Even though they're high in calories, they're totally worth it. So tell me . . .

GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE!!!
1I said pumpkin pie but I actually don't care much for any of the above! Or pie for that matter.
those are worth it
2I prefer holiday cookies, or peppermint bark
Everything up there, really, but if I had to choose it would be stuffing.
3This is bad, but I chose "something else" because I can't choose! Well, the only one out of the running is pumpkin pie, because I've never been a fan. I'll enjoy everything else though, and attend an extra spin class (or two) over the weekend!
Ah, food, glorious food!!
(haha I'm very excited for Thanksgiving if you can't tell!)
4Pumpkin pie and REAL mac& cheese. It's only once a year after all! Okay, maybe twice of year if you count the christmas parties.
5I eat mashed potatos (made with sweet potatos) the whole year long, so I don't care much about them, but I
stuffing and only have it on thanksgiving!!!
6im with crayolasky- i dont actually like any single traditional Thanksgiving food item, especially turkey, ick!
Usually I avoid the "traditional" thanksgiving meal . . . last yr i was in Paris, this year I'm going to Las Vegas . . . I much prefer Christmas foods- honey-baked ham . . . cookies . . .hot chocolate
!!!!!!
7Stuffing and my mother's homemade mash potatoes.
8Corn Casserole & Sister Schubert Rolls!!!!!!!!!! Cannot deny the carbs on thanksgiving!!!!
9mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and any pie. Ohhhhh I can't wait!!
10Honestly, all of it. Its one day. If I want to consume a million calories for ONE day, I'm pretty sure its not going to undo my entire year of hard work. I eat whatever I want on Thanksgiving, but I don't take leftovers.
11Pumpkin pie! But honestly I don't feel too guilty about it because my dad makes one regular pumpkin pie and a delicious low-fat sugar free one for me and my sister that's so good! haha.
I think for one day just eat whatever you want, I'm excited for mash potatoes and sweet potato casserole! Just be careful with the leftover for the next day.
12Um, first of all pumpkin pie is whack. SWEET POTATO PIE!!! Heck sweet potato anything... casserole, souffle, or however you make it . AND, my peach cobbler!
Yeah, why isn't mac and cheese up there? Nothing like homemade mac and cheese!!! My friend's leaves a butter puddle on your plate! LOL! Heart attack in a pan. Then you wash it down with some collard greens and/or green beans and/or broccoli. Man, I can't wait!
13All of it!
14Apple raisin stuffing and pumpkin chiffon pie!
15I don't eat most traditional Thanksgiving foods and the only one I use to eat is turkey which I was never that big of a fan. I guess I'll say cherry pie, but who knows if I feel like having a different dessert next year. Christmas will definitely be a different one.
16Pizza! I hate traditional thanksgiving food--none of it is worth the calories.
17I absolutely loooove stuffing. I don't know what it is about it that makes it so delicious, but it is...
18i call to add BOOZE to this list!!!!!
19apple cider = mega sugarattack!
egg-nog = yikers!
The best part for me is the home made cranberry sauce. The stuff with the whole cranberries mashed up in it, so good!
20I call booze too, more around Christmas for me though. I just read today that a cup of hot buttered rum comes in at 1000 calories... D:
21Haha I'm still going to drink it, it just might be all I have that day. A lovely sugar buzz along with my alchohol makes me extra cheery!
green bean casserole is my fav!
22i think all thanksgiving food is worth the extra calories! you should be allowed to indulge at least one day, and thanksgiving seems like the right one to me. it just is a matter of getting back on track the day after.
23Why is dark meat turkey considered "worth the calories"? It's not that much higher in calories than the white meat and it's actually more nutritious. I usually eat a good mix of white and dark meat, without the skin of course.
As far as my favorite "worth the calories" food, it's gotta be my mom's mashed potatoes. They are to DIE for!
24I'll just have a small portion of everything, but really I try and make sure what gets on the table isn't all that calorie rich(in bad calories!).
25Pumpkin pie. I just don't really care for most traditional thanksgiving foods. I actually like white meat better but I agree with Spectra that there's nothing wrong with dark meat either. So I'll enjoy my healthy thanksgiving with a slice of homemade pumpkin pie and whipped cream and will feel neither guilty nor deprived
26Love sweet potatoes, but I eat them all the time, plain, so I can really taste them! I used to be such a cookie monster but avoid sugar now. If someone asked me on Thanksgiving to try one of their homemade oatmeal cookies, I wouldn't decline!
27all of the above...and then some?! lol. but hey, i'm "prepping" big time for thanksgiving--harder workouts(sometimes two-a-day), eating VERY well, etc--so i don't have to count calories that day. i'm going to eat a little of everything and NOT feel at all guilty about it.
28bacon-wrapped water chestnuts!!
29CRANBERRY SAUCE!
30Wine!!!!
Although mashed sweet potatoes and any form of dessert are up there.
31my grandma's dressing (stuffing) and cranberry sauce
32I love green bean casserole, but warm buttery mashed potatoes take me back to my southern roots (dad's side is North Carolinian). I may have grown up as a yank, but gorram, do I love me some mashed potatoes.
33everything!!
34Er, none of it? I don't like stodgy Thanksgiving food and I'm vegetarian. Living overseas the past few years, Thanksgiving is less and less important the food is less appealing. My dad is campaigning for salmon at their Thanksgiving, but I think he's being shot down by the traditionalists.
My mom never made green bean casserole (or any casserole for that matter) but she used to cook green beans with walnuts and shallots, which was delicious.
35My aunt's sweet potato casserole!!! Soooo yummy w/a cinnamon pecan crunchy top!
36Every single bit of it! I plant to eat some of everything and not even think about the calorie content!
37Pecan pie, pecan pie, pecan pie. With whipped cream and a rich cup of coffee.
38ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!!
39sweet potato pie and real Mac & cheese!
40ALL Of it is worth the calories!
41sweet potatoes are the best!! Unfortunately, the more sugar it has, the better it tastes, but at least, I'm light on the butter!
42Seriously my mom's SWEET POTATO PIE and CANDIED YAMS are worth every single calorie along with real MAC N CHEESE!!! I can't wait!!!
43Homemade rye bread fresh out of the bread machine with a dollop of mashies & turkey. Mmm!
44Stuffing, but it's not really bad. I have to make my own since my Mom puts hers in the dead bird.
