We can blame our sore wrists on overuse in certain exercises or too many hours at the keyboard, but there's no reason you can't continue to do some of the weight-bearing exercises that you love. Your wrists might just need a little assistance to achieve a pain-free push-up or downward dog, and that's where Wrist Assured Gloves ($70) could come in handy.

The gloves are padded in such a way that your weight is redistributed away from your wrists. They were extremely effective when I tested them with a set of push-ups, and I also noticed a difference when doing triceps dips. The gloves worked noticeably better than gripping free weights as a means to take pressure of my sometimes sensitive wrists. If you're someone who is deterred from doing these exercises or certain positions in yoga and Pilates, these gloves will enable you to incorporate the things that have been giving you a pain in your wrist.
At $70, a painless experience does not come cheap. However, Joint Protection Products offers a 30-day, money-back guarantee if your experience doesn't live up to expectations.

i always wondered if gloves like this made any difference in a workout but if you're saying that you were able to really notice a change then maybe it's worth trying. especially if there is a money back guarantee. thanks!
1Thanks fit! I've had trouble doing push ups, pilates and yoga for some time due to my sensitive wrists. I wish that these weren't so expensive, but if they really help I'll have to get them!
2For someone who's broken her wrist three times, these are really a good idea!
3thanks for the review. I am getting them for my mom. She loves yoga but has problems with her wrists. this is perfect!
4just a warning... using things like this can weaken your wrists because you're relying on the brace instead of your own body.... same thing with ankle braces, etc. only use them if/when you really need them! or at least do some other wrist-strengthening exercises.
5These sound cool, but $70 for gloves they better work!
6The writer claims that wearing WAGs will make your wrists weak just like an ankle brace weakens the ankle, but that's not true. With WAGs, your wrist is not immobilized--WAGs are not a brace--so you still use stabilizing muscles.
