If you crave chocolate intensely, know that you are not alone.
Considered the most commonly craved food, chocolate now has a new proven adversary — walking. A recent British study involving a small number of chocoholics found that the simple act of walking reduced cravings for this cocoa derived delight. Walking briskly for 15 minutes not only reduced the blood pressure of study participants, but it reduced their cravings as well.
Next time you are craving chocolate, take yourself for a walk. I think this little trick might just work with any craving. Test it out and see.

Thanks for the tip!! I get crazy cravings from working in an office, and once I start thinking about food I can't stop myself from eating! (especially since there's an amazing cafe where I work)
1I've been having crazy chocolate cravings lately, which is weird because I usually don't crave sweets at all.
2But I thought dark chocolate was good for your health, so wouldn't you not want to reduce your craving at least for dark chocolate?
3i'd probably walk myself right over to a store where i could by chocolate ^^; ah, well. guess i could burn some off walking back from the store.
4Now I am craving it... guess I'll have to do some walking! haha
5Good to know.
6NO!! I will not give up my chocolate obsession! If I do the world will collapse. At least I think it will. ;-P
7i am so trying this tomorrow!
8huh - that's kind of interesting to think about it like that. i wonder who spent the time to do the research to see that if you walk you can curb the craving.
i still really like chocolate though, so anything in moderation seems ok to me
9ilanac,
Adrian Taylor and Anita Oliver of the University of Exeter conducted the research. The UK is experiencing a spike in obesity rates as well.
10No wonder. British food is so unhealthy and fattening. I love me some good fish & chips once in awhile, though!
